Bob loves it when I bring my car in. He said Im the only guy that brings documetation like this in.....LOL But their head mechanic went on a test drive with me and heard it so at least they dont think Im crazy..
Nice work bringing in the docs -- I should have done that with my rear main seal last month. At least I was able to call them a bunch of liars when they played dumb thanks to the info on this site. "Oh, really? Why would you think your car has that problem? I've got 200k on mine with no problems."

It wasnt that bad at all Danny, I had a little trouble with the rear brakes but it was my own fault. But once I figured it out it was smooth sailing. I would say that using the impact on the retaining screws did help a little.

As far as breaking them in, we just took the car to 20MPH then slowed to like 5. Then we took it to 40 and slowed, then to 60 to a stop. That was about it.

There was one issue about the rotors though, the holes for the retaining screws did not line up, so I ended up not using them. We took pics. Im sure Aaron will be bringing this to the attenion of the seller...

If you need any help with yours let me know, Ive got it down now..

From what I've read about breaking in new rotors -- you just do what Ethan said -- don't overheat them until you "temper" them a little. Get 'em working gradually for a while and don't slam on them until they're really broken in. Breaking in brakes till they're broken in... Hehe -- it's like a run-on pun.

Who in this group can help me setup an RSS connection to this group? I'm using the new Google Desktop and would like to specify, if I can, which thread I want to get notifications on.

Here is a sample string that I've been using that gets all the messages posted:
https://acurazine.com/forums/external.php?type=rss

I don't think there is a RSS feed specifically for this thread. It goes by major forum (CL, TSX, TL, ect)

Mantis---that's what I am seeing. I was just trying to break the code to see if I could get it to focus down to a thread level.

And it seems it only looks within the forums at the top of the list under Acurazine TL Community.

Oh well, was worth a try.

To know what RSS is see...http://www.xml.com/pub/a/2002/12/18/dive-into-xml.html

I just loaded the new Google Desktop. It has a window called Web Clips. What this does is it goes out to any sites you designate and will display any new messages that appear. So now you don't have to go out to a site, like a forum, and see what's been posted or receive an email.

I have the Google Desktop Web Clips pointed to my Yahoo Groups and now I can see when people post and get the header information and a link to the message. Cool stuff!

There is more stuff with the Desktop tool...checkout http://desktop.google.com/
