Wasn't really paying attention, and accelerated a bit to quickly. I was just barely passing the only other car on the road when I heard the radar go off-instant on, nothing I could do. Cop claimed 65 in a 45, and gave me the ticket for 20 over. Asshat even had the nerve to wish me a Merry Christmas. I am still fuming over this. He caught me right at the speed limit change and had the nerve to give me lip about it. You can bet I am going to fight this one.
Edit: for those who are going to say you deserve it etc, this is for you. Yes I was speeding. Yes I had no real reason to speed. However, I was not endangering anyone on the road by speeding. I was not driving aggresively or in a manner to endanger the ONE other car on the road. I wa more than polite to the police officer. I have a clean record, this is my first speeding ticket. You would just think that on freaking Christmas day, the police officer would be nice enough to lower the fine or simply give me a warning.

Hah, I know what you mean about cops being cocky, I got one a couple days after my birthday last Jan. and the cop had the nerve to tell me " Better luck next time" I wanted to use his knightstick against him!

Well i just wanted to let all you Dallas guys know that my wife and I throw a pretty good New years party. Its nothing to big. But quite a few of my friends come. We just sit on the patio playing some poker while the girls sit inside and get trashed and talk about all of us. It would be cool to have the driveway full of acuras. Anyway, if anyone is interested just let me know. Im just off the tollway on forest. Not to bad to find. If not, you all have a safe and happy new year...............Ethan
Andy, this goes for you too but figured you wouldnt be to hot on that drive.

ATXCLS -- that is just a flat out dickhead cop right there -- he should have given you a warning, could have reasonably given you a lower ticket, and DEFINITELY shouldn't have given you a 20+ ticket. Yep, just get a traffic attorney and fight it -- I've had great luck dismissing / reducing tickets since I moved to Tejas. I speed once in a while...
Trance -- That's a cute friggin puppy!!! Lucky kid!!!

Um, did somebody say AWD and turbo? Hell yeah!!!

Thanks John for re-igniting the gearhead in me. I think after a couple rounds with FI Systems I'll be a very fast Camry look-alike.
.... oh shit timmy, that's a fast camry! yeah, AWD + turbo, I doubt TRD would come close to that.

Surely rev happy , I found the limiter couple of days ago, holy screaming engine batman. Only thing about this engine, because it being DOHC VTEC, I can't seem to tell the VTEC engagment point. Even on the 04 TL and CLS-6 without intakes, I could hear the difference, I have tried and tried in this car, and can't find it

Congratulations, Civic. I know you have been "working hard" to get into such a program. This calls for an extra bottle of bubbly at New Years Eve!!! Inferno

Decided to go with something less expensive, but still fun. Turbo is planned for this summer.
Congrats on the Acceptance . I assume your doing the MD program and not the MBA correct ?

Happy New Year fella's...................man I am so hungover
Happy New Years!!!
Jeanine and I got engaged last night! I know that some of you met her at the CIA install meet at my house a few years ago (and some just recently at the Starbucks in Addison meet a few months ago). I finally got the balls to do it and we are very happy!
Cheers, John
