there have been a few small meets in the past. if we can get one together i would definitley be in for it.

We are now up to 6 who've responded with an interest.

The others and I have talked about a meeting at Java and Cha in Plano. I've been there a few times and have seen various Honda, Acura, Mitsubishi other cars there from time to time. Many as they say "Riced".

Let me know if the two of you are interested and I'll ping the others to set up a date. We can use this to build off of.

My hopes are that sometime in the fall we can have a meet at on of the 3 area tracks I've located.

Weekdays can be iffy for me if the date is too far inadvance. I travel from time to time.

Saturday nights are usually good, and Sunday nights aren't bad either. As for week days, Wednesday - Friday are possiblem but only after 8:00pm on Fridays.

Let me know your times and I'll ping the other guys.

Hey Guys.

Sorry I've been out of whacks the past month.

But hey! I'm back and ready to get in on this.

I also posted a message on the TLS Forum called "It's Finally Here".

We can do a race meet or a Java and Cha Social.

Let me know what the best deal is and I'll do my best to work it in. Fridays after 8pm is goof as is Saturdays usually after 7pm.

On the high-end I would like to do a track meet, but that takes more time and I don't know what the time schedules are for the area tracks.

On the the low-end some of us have been talking about meeting at Java and Cha's.

Does anyone have any insight to the area tracks?

I know the Motorplex (@50 miles south of Dallas) has a Friday Street Night series, but they don't do time slips. No idea on what that have on Saturday nights.

There's another one off of I35 near Denton . . . I think.

What's everyone elses thoughts?

let's just get together at Java and Cha's this time around. this way we can meet everyone and we can plan a 'track' meet. i think getting everyone at the track next weekend would be a little difficult. we can also head up to Northwest Highway. have you guys seen all the street races up there? saturday afternoon is good with me. this way we can get some pics in before it gets dark. what are your thoughts?

I could do from 1:00 to 3:00 and or after 7pm on the 27th. I have a conflict at 3:30 that day.

I could even show up early afternoon and maybe get back out again later for some fun.

I've been to the track in Denton, and they do run times. Its an 1/8 track. They do it every other Friday(unless it rains in which case they'll proceed the next Friday).

Its from Midnight to 4 Friday Night / Saturday Morning depending on how you view things.

They are having it this Friday, so it will be closed on Saturday morning (27th).

It gets dark at 6:50ish now, and someone mentioned pictures. Looks like we may want to start at 4-5ish?

Could someone fill me in on what Java & Cha is? I'm a bit clueless on that one.

Java and Cha is just a coffee house at Coit and Park, if i am thinking of the right one. Next to the Dollar Movie theater. Someone else confirm that for me? So, is it decided to meet the 27th there and what time?

Yes, Java&Cha is a coffeehouse in plano at coit & park. Its in the same shopping center as the dollar theater, smoothie king, and swensen's.

27th is good for me, and I work till 3pm.. so anytime after that would be good


It seems there are a bunch of "ricers" there on friday and saturday nights.. not too sure if we wanna be in that crowd at that time, or maybe we could show them a thing or two

Did you guys want to try and make this an all Metroplex meet or just those close by or just CL's or is someone going to post on the TL board as well?

Also...don't know if any of you don't have plans this weekend (mantis23 with no life ) but a board member from Chicago is coming down to Corsicana this weekend and is wanting to get together with some fellow members in the area. Let him know if any of you can do something.

I'm up for meeting you guys Saturday the 27th, I'm in Fort Worth going to school, but i go to plano almost every weekend. So, I'll be there. I'm also up for meeting around 4:30. I dont know about saturdays, but on fridays, i go to that area to get my hair cut, and around 5ish on friday is when all those people hang out. I say "those people" because i am asian. I don't take offense to this "rice" saying because i make fun of them too hehe

Hell, since Hanzie is from Ft. Worth, and has intentions of coming, would that make this a metroplex meet?

Okay, my schedule is firming up and here is what I can work out.

Early afternoon 1-3, or evening after 8pm.

Just let me know what the final scoop is and I'll try and work something in, but don't let me stop ya'll from getting together.

If I may what does the weekend after look like? I noticed a few folks saying that 10/27 was out. Just a thought.

By the way, I've already posted on the TL forum as I'm a regular out there. I've even sent out a few personal messages as well. I've heard from 2 so far that want to go for it and have pointed them over here for the latest info.
