Windows Live
Looks like M$ is trying to step things up. Has anyone tried the beta hotmail?

.Mac is $99/yr...its a little steep, but I really love some of the features:
-imap email account
-syncing of Calendar, Address Book, Contacts, Bookmarks, Mail Settings, etc. across multiple macs
-1gig online storage
and hopefully after the Macword keynote we will have some new features (site is down for maint. right now)

Well, I just signed-up for a new hotmail account...now I'm just awaiting an invitation to join. Maybe I'll have the messages that normally go to my gmail account forwarded to the hotmail account in the mean time...

While we're talking about Live.com, go play with http://local.live.com.
My friend is a manager on the development team, so go break it.
I have to admit, the bird's eye view in major urban areas is pretty slick, as is the "locate me" button.

DON'T SIGN UP FOR THE MAIL BETA P.O.S.
I finally got accepted to start using it a couple weeks ago. I first I was very impressed, as it has features and functions far more advanced that any other online mail program. But the honeymoon didnt last. First I discovered that hardly anything worked unless you used IE. With Firefox I got a very stripped down version, that couldnt even reply to emails.
But the worst part is that late last week I lost all access to my mail. I have not been able to log into my account for 4 days! To make matters worse, the only way to "unsubscribe" is through an option once you are logged, so I am fucked. I check their website and their "blog" and there is nothing except other unfortunate users like me complaining they cant check their mail. Nothing from M$ or their 3rd world programmers running the blog.
What a peice of outsourced garbage.
