You post the same reply anytime the name "T-mobile" shows up in any thread. You can't generalize that T-mobile service will suck for everyone just because it sucks in your area. Verizon may be stronger than T-mobile in some spots but there are also places where T-mobile gets a better signal. Not to mention T-mobile's plans are way better and so are their phones. I've had Verizon myself and have had nothing but problems. I'm a former Verizon vendor also so I know what the deal is with them... I can name a ton of bad things about Verizon but I'm not going to get into that...

Cingular does a slightly better job in some of those states while Verizon tops the list especially in PA, so I understand where Berner is coming from. Just depends where you're at. Geographical location makes a huge difference.
The Cingular "piggyback" you are referring to is the state of NY where they share 1900. In other areas like Georgia, T-Mobile has their own 1900 and Cingular has their own 850mhz. On the west coast, Cingular and T-Mobile share 1900mhz towers but Cingular also uses AT&T's 850mhz brought to you by the guys at Ericsson (and Butler Communications)
I had Verizon in a past life. They were great but customer care stopped answering my questions and service got terrible on my side so I cancelled and went with T-Mobile. Couldn't be happier...well when they implement EDGE, that'll be super but until then, on the voice/text/mms side, I like T-Mobile. I just wish everyone else could experience the same.
btw, hostile typing is WHEN YOU START TYPING LIEK THIS AHHHH IMMA FREAK OUT !#@$@#%@$%!!!

What a lot of people don't understand is that 850mhz towers are not used as a replacement for 1900mhz...it is used to cover the areas the 1900mhz frequencies cannot reach. There is a website that shows all the towers in the U.S. along with MNC/MCC numbers. If you know what those means, you can differentiate between which towers belong to whom. Ericsson Communications does A LOT of work with basestations as well as Nortel (not Nextel). It's fun to point out towers but eh, it gets old. I feel for those (like one of my friends) that worked on and tested towers...I wonder what his children are going to turn out to look like.
