New Apple Ipod Shuffle

Apple just doubled the capacity of its iPod shuffle to 4GB while ditching the control wheel entirely. The new design keeps the clip and adds VoiceOver -- a new feature that gets around the lack of display by telling you which song is playing and who performs it at the touch of a button on the earbud cable. It'll also call out your playlists and let you navigate to others. Available in black or silver for $80 and your claim to what Apple calls the "world's smallest music player."

See video in link (Hannah would get it)

Pretty cool, I had an AWIA FM radio about that small back in the 80's, I loved it for when I rode my bike.

+ 1

For as smart as cars are nowadays, they sure are stupid when it comes to high tech access like wi-fi.

Not long. Didn't the new Navs in the 7 series implement internet capability?

I think today.

I just watched the demo vid on apple.

Unless they make a headset like my monster one where the shuffle plugs right in and there are no wires I'll be passing.

I am DONE dealing with wires.

at the "too small" comments! Yes, I agree, and am waiting for the Dick Tracy wristwatch/phone/communications/music player/recorder/video unit.
Every device can be (and commonly is) integrated into a flip-phone sized case now, so I'm just waiting for a wristwatch-sized one, bishes!!

I was just thinking of getting a 2g shuffle for the gym. My iPhone gets sweat all over it when it's in my pocket.

Man the shuffle has as much space as my phone

That's the first thing I thought too. And if you already have better headphones... not gonna work.

For those who lose or break their shuffle headphones? Gotta go back to Apple for one.

Lame.

They are going to make an adapter so you can use whatever headphones you want.

The in-ear buds will also work with the new shuffle and they are really damn good, I had a pair for a week before I decided I was just fed up with wires period.

Man the apple whiners never cease.

They should have made it clickable, the whole unit that is, to make like a giant earphone button. Next step is to just integrate the MP3 player into the headphone button so you just have to carry around headphones.

Nor do the Apple fanboys / apologists who eat up everything Apple releases. Looks like Jobs' RDF is in full effect.
