Netflix

Yup I just re-signed up for it. I had it years ago back in like 2000 but the built in Netflix streaming add-in in Windows Media Center is what pushed me over the edge. I can manage my DVD Queue, watch trailers and stream movies from that add-in and it's got a great interface just like the rest of media center. It's much better than using the website. They've got a decent selection for streaming right now but doesn't have the latest releases and really popular movies available to stream. I'd expect that to improve greatly within the next year or two as DVDs start to go away and streaming becomes the next tool for content delivery.

at some point i would have cancelled mine if it hadn't been for netflix instant. i used to use instant on my computer when the movie selection was really small, before they added the startz movie channel movies, but they still had a decent selection of movies back then. if i had cancelled i know by now i would have resigned up for it to rent blu-ray discs that i get now.
i only use the 1 at a time unlimited plan and with blu-ray that costs $12/month after tax.

If you have xbox360 you can use through them as well. Plus you can make copies with the right software.

I have it. Unlimited DVDs, one at a time, for $9.99 a month. I average about 4-5 DVDs a month, so it's definitey worth it.

Love it. Have the Blue-Ray account. I always scan for new movies coming out a few weeks in advance and add it to my queue. Plus, it's so nice to be able to watch entire seasons of the Office or Entourage or Californication or BSG. Series like BSG and Lost are on blue-ray as well which is cool if you have an HDTV.

I've had it for the last 3 years with the 2 at a time blu ray account and average I think almost 8 movies a month and pay $13 a month I think. And they just added the streaming to the Ps3 as well.

I watch it through my PS3

Instead of a blockbuster movie sitting on my table unwatched and accruing late fees, I have a netflix movie sitting there that costs 9 dollars a month.
Streaming is just icing on the cake.

I miss my 03 CL-S :(
I've had it for close to 5 years. I started with 1 at a time, then went to 2 at a time to catch up with things I had wanted to watch. I'm back down to 1 at a time. Their service is fantastic.
Also, I often use streaming via the Vista Windows Media Center, since I have a PC hooked up to the TV.
Good stuff, I'd recommend it.

had blockbuster online till they effed us with changing their policies on allowing us to get 3 free movies at the brick and mortar stores while the other 3 from the mail is being shipped. Plus they increased their cost. Netflix is worth the money and now i can stream on my PS3 which makes it so much better. The quality is really good. Better than it was when i hooked up my PC to the LCD.

I have 3 movies + blu-ray. I'm getting a tv with streaming capabilities, so that will be nice. Will probably drop down to 2 or 1 movie at a time, since we rarely watch more than 2 a weekend.

I love it. I don't rent much DVDs so I'm on the Unlimited 1 DVD at a time deal. Cheap and I get to stream my shows. I've been catching up on CSI and Numb3rs.
And Grey's Anatomy shhh...

We have the 3 at a time and love it. You can keep them as long as you want and the turn-around time is really quick. Great for kids if they really like a certain movie and you need to keep it longer.

I actually get rid of cable and went with netflix. I have one at a time with blu-ray and streaming for 11.99 a month. Two out of the three TV's in my house are able to stream from netflix, as well as all of my computers. Love it!

Maybe I should just dump TV and get Netflix, that would be some good savings.
If a friend of mine has Netflix, could I log in from my place with their log in and be able to live stream?

I have it. I love it. I have had it for many many years. They recently just released it for the PS3 with instant streaming. My only gripe about the instant stream is there is still a limited amount available for the instant. Hopefully that changes soon.

Yep anywhere...to be able to watch a movie from anywhere...I mean, that's just badazz!
My ex roommate had the blockbuster 3 online 3instore thing...when he moved out I tried to get it but they didn't offer it and wouldn't budge on the price. I said ok...EFU...and went back to Netflix. As long as you're good about updating your queue...you could probably watch and return 16 movies a month on the 2 at a time deal, if I send on Monday, I have a new one by Wednesday...if you send it by Th. Morning, you could have another by Saturday. The shipping speed has VASTLY improved.

I just signed up this morning and added a bunch to my queue, but how do I know if/when they have shipped a movie? Do they send you a message when you login or an email when they ship a dvd?
