This is a much better keyboard than that ugly blue thing, plus it supports droid and iOS!

Hopefully it works better than the Logitech one. Can't get that thing to pair with any iOS devices I have at home

I don't think all of the stuff they show in that video are final but I guess are upcoming features, some are released today. Full video below

Btw I remember a recent commercial where they were comparing the SP3 to the MacBook air, and one of the comparisons was that the SP3 had a USB port... WTF

Ordered a refurb Surface Pro and kb cover last night. I had dismissed them due to price, but after all was said and done I'm in for about $400 on both. The battery is shot on my Vaio, and its not easily replaceable or cheap so I was kind of looking at alternatives.

What deal/where?

Was it this groupon deal? :

Refurb 128 GB Surface, I5 for $420

Also, Newegg has the 64GB refurb for $299:

Refurbished: Microsoft Surface Pro Intel Core i5 4GB Memory 64GB 10.6" Touchscreen Tablet Windows 8 Pro - Newegg.com

Got the Groupon deal. Had a 10% off code and a small credit with them. Got the keyboard used off Amazon. It actually arrived today. Was wrapped in bubble wrap with no documentation or anything, but looks good. The tablet hasn't even shipped yet.

Saw the newegg refurbished deal, but it was for the 64gb version. I wanted the 128gb version so I could actually install and save a few things.

To be fair, I did save about $100 between the coupon, credit and Amazon Visa points. If you just got the Groupon deal and a used keyboard off Amazon it would be closer to $500. At $400, I'm willing to give it a shot. If I don't like it, I should be able to get that much back out of it. I think I'm going to follow Whiskers lead and install 10 on it.

Starting to regret buying from Groupon. Paid on Monday. It's now Saturday and they still haven't shipped it. Emailed customer service and just got a snarky reply. Shoulda read some reviews before placing the order.

Meh, I wouldn't be too concerned. I have limited experience with Groupon deals, but IIRC the time to ship has not been the speediest. Seems to be part of the Groupon exerience

According to the tracking it'll be 2 weeks from ordered to received. And I could easily accept that if their customer service were better. When I emailed them to ask a simple question, I got a smart ass response. Between that and the slow shipping I really don't see how they continue to do business when they have to compete with the likes of Amazon and Newegg.

It arrived today right before I left for work. Have to say, I'm pretty impressed with it. Started doing some Windows updates. It says there's a firmware update, but I couldn't install it. It apparently wants the battery to be fully charged. Figure I'll update it before I install 10 on it.

Has anyone that's installed 10 on a Surface had any issues with it? Is it usable as a daily driver?

Still enjoying the Win10 tech preview. Haven't had too many issues with it beyond the fact that it doesn't seem to care whether the keyboard is attached or not. If I tap into a text box and the keyboard is attached the on screen one still comes up. Battery life is a lot better than I thought it would be. Haven't really used it for much other than surfing the web and such. Makes a great companion to Sunday night football. I can keep track of my fantasy team without having to fire up the laptop.

Haven't tried to pair a mouse. The trackpad on the keyboard is terrible but usable in a pinch. Its like running your fingers across an itchy sweater.

Has anyone else using the Win10 preview been getting a OneDrive window every time you start it up? Doesn't matter what I click, the window goes away and comes back the next time I start it up.
