...study says.

I will assume this only applies to those users who choose to use IE6, and are not required by their employers to use it.

My dad uses IE....
His IQ is definitely way above 80. But when it comes to technological literacy, I think 80 sounds right, maybe even too generous.
I still remember a year or two ago he showed me this link that said he would win a free iPod if he answered a pop-up ad.

hahahaha ship network got messed up a while back and all the computer went back to IE5 took them a while to "upgrade" them all to 6 and then 7 for whatever reason. sad to say but half our network issues come from navy ITs not being allowed to do shit and the other half is from them being allowed to do shit.
I guess IE users are smarter than all of us since they figured out the story was fake......

A story which suggested that users of Internet Explorer have a lower IQ than people who chose other browsers appears to have been an elaborate hoax.
A number of media organisations, including the BBC, reported on the research, put out by Canadian firm ApTiquant.
It later emerged that the company's website was only recently set up and staff images were copied from a legitimate business in Paris.
It is unclear who was behind the stunt.
The story was reported by many high profile organisations including CNN, the Daily Mail, the Telegraph and Forbes.
Questions about the authenticity of the story were raised by readers of the BBC website who established that the company which put out the research - ApTiquant - appeared to have only set up its website in the past month.
Thumbnail images of the firm's staff on the website also matched those on the site of French research company Central Test, although many of the names had been changed.
The BBC contacted Central Test who confirmed that they had been made aware of the copy but had no knowledge of ApTiquant or its activities.

Welcome to the Navy
It's officially a hoax!

Tell-Tale signs that should have uncovered the hoax in less than 5 minutes!

The test that was mentioned in the report, “Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (IV) test” is a copyrighted test and cannot be administered online.
The phone number listed on the report and the press release is the same listed on the press releases/whois of my other websites. A google search reveals this.
The address listed on the report does not exist.
All the material on my website was not original.
The website is made in WordPress. Come on now!
I am sure, my haphazardly put together report had more than one grammatical mistakes.
