Yes and decent improvement, not earth shattering. I didnt think it was slow without overclocking it though

Fawk just saw this on slickdeals

(9/15) Tiger Direct Stores in Chicago - They had advertised the bundle for $199 and $249 respectively, but due to shipping problems, the stores did not get the Touchstone docks and/or keyboards. So they ended up selling just the Touchpad for $99 and $149. Lines had formed since 6AM or so and some lucky people got it...about 30 or so at the Hoffman Estates store.

Yea it's an improvement for me. Went to 1.5ghz, also turned off all the logging and other patches in preware.

Now my shady flash heavy websites work now.

Ohh and the flash based pr0n sites now work too. (they used to stutter alot and then eventually just stop)

Now if only there was a way to get real multitasking.

But for that I'd have to have windows or Linux or whatever on the pad..

yep I'm running the 1.5ghz kernel and love this thing. There are faster ones but I am more than happy with the zippiness of 1.5

I also installed a bunch of other patches that speed this thing up in other ways. There was a link I posted several pages back which take you Step by step.

^ Have you tried running a game? I can't run any of the experimental kernels when playing graphic intense games (like Asphalt 6 HD). I like the F-15c kernel alot (dual cores at 1.8 ghz) but whenever I boot up a game it just crashes.

Games and w/e run just fine with Uberkernel (1.5 ghz) for me and its snappy enough.

Miz, make sure you also install "Unthrottle Download" from preware, helps a ton when loading flash heavy sites. Faster downloads means faster

Maybe I should switch the profile to dual core 1.8ghz when I goto my shady websites... It still lags when loading it initially. Once I can switch the default view to a lower option then the site works fine...

The fix is just to hit back a couple of times and manually reload one of the forum pages. It should keep you logged in.

Same here. you just have to select one of the forums after signing in. it will then show you as logged in.

it doesn't always refresh the page either when you load it. I have to manually refresh.

Anyone else have this issue?

If I try to scroll through a web page too quickly, it minimizes the card? I need to keep maximizing the card over and over. If im careful not to scroll near the edges its usually better.

I understand that minimizing the card by swiping UP quickly is a feature, but its a bit too sensitive at times. anyway to adjust?

Never had that happen yet... Maybe try the patch 'Increase Touch Sense' if you haven't already?

Yup got that installed already. Actually thought that this is what was causing the issues so I uninstalled it. Same thing.
