Hewlett-Packard: TouchPad News and Discussion Thread
^ for what its worth, they're going to give the option of dual boot.
So you can keep WebOS for its functionality or w/e, and boot up in Android to just play with apps.
As they say, "Variety is the spice of life."

I know its not a solution for those that like WebOS and hate Android.
I admit, WebOS is a good platform. But with HP pulling the plug on all WebOS devices, its going to be really difficult to get any developer support.
The sad truth is, that the life of the Touchpad will be extended for several years because of these Android projects.
Anywho, got bored and purchased Asphalt HD by gamevil in the HP apps market. Graphics are incredible. However, I had to downgrade from F4 Phantom Kernel (1.8 ghz) to the stable Uberkernal (1.5 ghz) since the game kept crashing with the F4 Phantom.

Dual boot is retarded imo.
WebOS still has a chance in the market, but it needs continuing support from MS Devs and needs to be picked up on other devices. I really hope HP plays their cards right.

If I get my 4 - 16gb orders I'll let you know, but I think it pertains to my original Sunday order of 2 - 32gb TP's. If that's the case, we're keeping one and sending one to the parents.
I'll let you guys know 2 months from now.

Well, I have a friend who works at HP who I had dinner with last night...The scoop is that all HP employees are guaranteed one (he ordered 2) but the ETA is still at least a few weeks away...
So, it may be awhile.

Thinking of pulling the trigger on one I just found on ebay. Cheapest I have found all week. Still wish I could have secured one for the original prices.

I am not holding my breath that there will actually be any available beyond filling orders people made already.
One of the times I would most use a tablet is during football season when I spend most of Sunday on the couch. If I wait 2 months then it is half over. Still undecided. Wish I could get a 32gb Galaxy Tab 10.1 for less than $500.

Yes I did enter my email address to get updates as well.
I gave in tonight. I purchased one for $275 for a 32gb one to get one at least. I am still looking for a second one for my Dad though but don't care what size it is for his really. Hopefully I will have mine by early next week.
