Hewlett-Packard: TouchPad News and Discussion Thread
Can anyone recommend a really thin (hard shell) case? I went down to Fusion of Ideas and got the Carbon Fiber back and clear front put on like so:

I like the backing alot - gives it some texture so it's not as slippery, but I'm thinking I may want an actual hard case when I travel with it.
Also, thinking of getting the keyboard; I've been using my GF's Ipad Zaggmate aluminum case+BT Keyboard, and it actually sits up in landscape pretty ok:

I find its alot easier to use a keyboard when typing on forums.

don't get a demo unit. They have demo software on them and people are having a hard time getting them to work properly. They don't work like normal consumer touchpads

Wel it is because eventhough there is a way to sort of get it out of Demo mode and install the standard OS.... There are still issues with associating a WebOS Account to the device which means no Market access etc... Pretty much would be a boring tablet with no apps to install.

^ Yeah, I've been following the progress on rootzwiki and in the devs irc. CM7 team seems to be the furthest along (they have single touch working on the screen which has been the biggest obstacle so far).
Probably going to be atleast another month before an alpha release, but still that's lightning fast given that the android port project was only announced 2-3 weeks ago and devs pretty much had to work from scratch.

Mine is supposed to be arriving at my house today, so tonight should be fun although I'm painting rooms in my house. May just bring it to work tomorrow and waste my day messing with it here.
OK, this is fucked up.
Cost Central, on the pages for both the case and touchstone claim they are sent by USPS, and no tracking information is provided. Then on my invoice it says FedEx shipping.
Then they send me a UPS tracking number.
