Getting back an old copy of windows 7

Getting back an old copy of windows 7

So a when windows 7 first came out, i purchased it online with the student discount and downloaded. Now that computer has been stolen which i downloaded it on. I did make a copy of windows 7 on a CD, but I didnt write the activation code, stupid.

Anyway of getting that activation code?? It was on my laptop which was stolen. Can microsoft issue me a new one??

For anything I buy electronically, I make a pdf copy of the receipt/e-mail and keep it titles in my documents folder and via Google cloud.

yea i had all that stored on my laptop. This was also the time before google drive. And I dunno if I knew about dropbox back then. Neve figured my laptop would get stolen. And in that case I got a mac, but i wanna bootcamp it so i can use particular programs that doesnt work on apple.
