We've been buying them for years at the office, we used to buy 21" monitors, very heavy and wasted a ton of electricity. We now have 18.1" NEC/Mitsubishi monitors. My friend blew $1200 on a 21.3" LCD all because he wanted 1600x1200 resolution.
Good choice

I’m really glad I waited because I know these suckers were really expensive when they first came out.
My sister just got a full DELL Pentium 4 system with CD burner, DVD, 80-Gig drive, etc… AND a 17” LCD and it was only like 950 shipped for everything.
When I was hooking it up for her I told her that just the monitor alone was like 2-GRAND two years ago.

It may have some shadowing, but nothing that's bothered me.
I don't know how it will fare for 1st person shooters - I don't
play those because I don't have the reflexes of a crack smoking monkey

I haven’t loaded the “rotation” driver software yet.
I really like the monitor, the only thing that’s gonna take some getting used to is the screen resolution.
My 19” Sony was running at 1600 x 1200 and I was quite used to that.
Now I max out at 1280 x 1024 and everything seems so HUGE on the screen.
I’ll have to play around with the fonts & menu sizes to see if I can get it where I want.

Although this technology is new to me and I’m still learning.
It’s funny…..At work I have a 20” Sony tube which of course is 19” viewable like a 19” LCD is.
My screen looks fine here and it’s running 1280 x 1024.
I think I just need to “tweak” the fonts & settings a bit to get it where I want.
Other then that, I love the picture it puts out.

From what I understand, they must be run in their “native” resolution which is 1280 x 1024.

kinda nasty. It's kinda okay for games and whatnot, but for text it'll be an eyesore.
