Thumbs up Asus MyPal A626

Has anyone every owned/tried one out?

I thinking about picking one up. It does everything that it needs to do for me. I've read a lot of reviews and it seems to be a good product.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to pick one up this Friday so I can condense my crap into one small sleek package.

Why would you buy a PDA without a phone built in?

What do you use it for?

Any good programs you recommend?

I don't want a phone/PDA, if PDA goes dead I still want to be able to use my phone. Vice Versa.

I use it for web browsing, connecting via bluetooth, word, excel, powerpoint, and outlook. I can use the beam feature to control my TV, cable box, dvd player, and other equipment. (Been using it as a small laptop )

youtubeplayer, ezunZIP, adobe reader 2.0, divx player, ibm midp 2.0 for Opera mini 4.1 java enabled browser. (recommended programs) Internet Explorer isn't java enabled.

There are a bunch of other programs that are fun to use but for fun only.

Hmm... I wanted a PDA, so I got a PDA Phone so it would be one less thing to carry.

If the phone ever went dead, I got my old phone (razr) as a backup, plus I got insurance on it so could get it replaced.

My Outlook syncs wirelessly to my Exchange server. It updates my email, calendar, and contacts. No need to worry about when my last sync was in case I lost any data since the last sync. Thats the problem I had with my iPaq waaaay back when.

I did a firmware update on it last night and the PDA acts day and night. The touchscreen is 10x better, programs boot up faster, and it can hold SDHC memory cards.

I have a 4gig memory card in it right now.

I too have 2 back up phones just in case, a razr and a samsung, but I really don't rely on them since I have a good flip phone already.
