Similar footprint to the Diamond but man it's got loads of features. Could be the next phone for me.

i saw this phone a couple months ago and damn its definately my next phone, the only thing that stopped me from getting an iphone was no qwerty, this has the best of both worlds!

Hey Darksith, you can throw in a 16GB into your Treo right now. I think you need to do a software hack. I just got a 680 and am about to order a card.

 

I wasnt sure if I was keeping this phone, so I never invested in anything larger than a 2gb sdcard

I think Verizon is getting it too... but their version will not have the full features...

A hack would be welcome...is your 680 a W or a P?

I quess I am ready for a new phone that doesnt have an antenna...LOL

Well I'm registered at www.treonauts.com and they have a 650 section. A quick Google and you should be able to get the info. Since I have a 680 it's plug and play. You can get a Transcend card with reader for like $50 shipped on Amazon.

 

that phone is actually being released here? from what i understood only the diamond was being released in the U.S..

 

Its scheduled to be released later this year.

I've seen it here in Amsterdam for 649 Euro Unlocked. Looks good and would make a good Mogul replacement for me.

I'm planning to get this phone as a replacement for my sprint mogul. my only question is what the hell is going to happen to my sprint sero plan? the deal is over, and also, if i remember correctly, they wont allow pda's/smartphones anymore. that would mean im stuck with my mogul for life! (unless i update to the sprint everything plan)

Ashburner, did some research. sprint retracted that issue, and is still offering it to all smartphones, just not the instinct, which is... weird?

 

The keyboard looks alot better than my XV6800. More like a real keyboard layout.

Keys would probably be smaller though, so I wonder if that would impact usage?

 

I think the chrome is sick... makes it looks super slick...kinda set it apart from the Diamond... smudge magnet...yes...but I can live with that...

Damn it I want it so badly! I can't wait another month. The irony is I just got a spanking new treo 755 this past friday (had the full replacement plan with sprint for $7 a month and my refurbished 755's keyboard crapped out so they hooked me up with a new one). What to do, what to do?
