Why didn't they put the stupid battery percent in the battery icon in the first place? Always hated it being off to the side.

Just received another email regarding this but this time it’s a 10x bigger check. $30.43

not sure if I care enough for the Ultra Apple Watch, but definitely upgrading my Series 3.

That GoPro hypersmooth like video feature would be nice thou.
kind of annoyed they switched to 24mm Full frame equivalent for the main camera. 24mm is my least favorite focal length.
there will be more edge distortion as well.

Maybe I missed it since I was half watching and half doing work, but was there any talk of a vapor chamber or improved cooling? That was one of the rumors for the 14 Pro. Would greatly appreciate if they improved the cooling so the phone stays cooler and/or the display stays brighter for longer periods of time.

Man I was considering upgrading to a stainless steel Series 8 but the pricing for the Ultra is really aggressive.
45mm SS is $749 vs the Ultra at $799
interestingly the Titanium Series 7 was 41mm $799 and 45mm $849
for a $50 difference I wonder if I could live with the chonkiness. Or maybe stick with the way cheaper aluminum model.

I’m upgrading from my 12PM strictly for the 120hz and better cameras.
Trading this phone in to offset the cost.
Also decided im going to upgrade a little more frequently. My last upgrade 7Plus to 12PM was a little too long.
if youre willing to wait, the 15 should be a good one to wait for since it’s likely that’s when they will finally switch to USBC since the EU is forcing them.

Opening the camera in certain apps causes the OIS motor to go haywire, causing audible grinding sounds and physically vibrating the entire phone.
Apple did not respond to requests for comment about the bug, which has been reported by multiple users on social media.

The issue doesn't appear to be universal, but MacRumors has gathered complaints from users across multiple social media sites and its own forums, as has The Guardian. Some YouTubers have also documented the phenomenon.
Bloomberg's Mark Gurman says that Apple has acknowledged the issue and plans to release a fix next week.
The distortion and vibration is most likely being caused by the camera's optical image stabilization gyroscope, which when working normally corrects for shaking and hand motion so that the camera can take in a bit more light without taking blurry images (although the iPhone cameras do feature optical zoom, it's handled using different physical lenses and not one lens with mechanical parts that can physically zoom in and out).
Until Apple releases a fix, users should try to refrain from using the camera within these apps—allowing the OIS gyroscope to grind for extended periods of time could damage the camera, and Apple specifically warns against attaching iPhones to motorcycles or other things that vibrate excessively. When possible, shooting photos or videos with the built-in camera app and then uploading or importing them to your third-party app of choice is a workaround that could save your device some stress.
If you do experience hardware damage as a result of this bug, you should be able to get your phone repaired or replaced under warranty.
