So flippin fast. Switching between apps and tabs and back and forth etc etc. This is much faster than the 6 plus.
Overall super happy with it I did miss the home button today when I was driving using Waze sideways in a holster, there’s literally no way to access any of the other screens without taking the phone out and going upright. Solution is to use Waze upright which I am ok with.
It does get hot but I’m ok with it it’s not overwhelming.

Also the X doesn't really have a bigger screen than the Plus.
Sure it's 5.8" vs 5.5 but the aspect ratio is higher. 19.5:9 vs 16.9 on the plus.
The width of the screen is the same as the non-plus model.
overall screen space is less than the plus. That's why Apple didn't include the big screen features on the X.
This is why I'm waiting for the rumored iPhone X Plus for next year. It'll have a 6.5" screen.

I might wait another year or go back to Android depending on what else comes out. I borrowed my sister's X for half an hour and came away with the impression that I still don't want to upgrade. The size difference is very noticeable though. I'm 95% confident that the S9 will have a better screen than the X.
I was one of the first to go to a 4.5", back then considered huge. Same with a 5.5"+ screen phone. I'm not sure about a 6.5" screen. I can use the Plus one-handed just fine, but pocketability sucks.

Battery is better.

Man your 7 Plus must've been faulty. I never have to recharge mid day.

iPhone X impressions after 2 days. Comparison is to 6 Plus (2014).
Pros: Screen sharpness and fluidity is so noticeably better, Face ID works better than you would expect, even in pitch black darkness, the speed switching between apps and screens is super fast, battery seems to be lasting well, the reduction in size is welcome, home button is not missed for the most part. I actually haven’t had a good chance to play with the camera features.
Cons: The back gets fairly hot after prolonged use - but this is understandable. It’s hard to easily tell which way is up, when grabbing the phone quickly, since there is no more home button. This is fairly annoying. The camera sticks out abruptly with sharp edges - Steve Jobs would have never allowed this. The completely glass surface makes the phone easily slippery. This makes it slide on random surfaces. Today I placed it on a cloth surface and went somewhere else, when I came back, the phone was gone it had slid down. Face ID is annoying when you are half-awake and you have to open your eyes to unlock your phone. LOL I actually turned off the “Require attention for Face ID” option just now, let’s see if that helps that situation. Having to look at the phone to unlock it is annoying in certain circumstances.

Wait.. how did you initiate Apple Pay?
so the process is?
Tap the terminal or double tap the side button to initiate Apple Pay.
Hold to face to authenticate.
Tap back on terminal
wait for check mark
Done

Nvm googled that you can't tap the terminal anymore to initiate Apple Pay. You have to double tap the side button. Makes sense security wise

These are some SERIOUS first world problems.

my only complaint
When I have it on my desk, and try to text (laying flat on the desk), it bounces around, due to the camera sticking out on the rear. It doesn't sit flush on a desk.

i noticed that too when I was playing with it ( ) at the Apple Store.
It was actually wobbling a lot! I've got it on video too.
Then I realized its the camera. Guess the dumb design fits a dumbo like me
Bounces around....what the fuck are you doing on the desk?

Probably an issue with the screen itself. Reboot?
Grabbed my other phone to take a pic ... UGH

That sounds like a hardware issue with the LED screen itself. I've seen it on laptop computers

Sounds like you need a trip to the Genius bar.
