Alright so I finally sat down and looked at all the options. I *think* we will stick with AT&T since I still get a 20% discount for 'working at Honeywell'.
$100/month for 15GB shared data, two lines at $15 each, and then the NEXT plans being $31 for a 6S 64GB and $35 for a 6S+ 64GB.
Totaling ~$180 a month.
Does that look about right to all of you already on a similar plan?

^Cool. That's what we are going to do. I'll miss my unlimited but frankly I'd rather have 10 fast gigs than 5 and being throttled. Fuckers.
My buddy who works at ATT said wait and just go into a smaller store on the 25th.

I'm glad that they're both becoming better for the status quo...
^The only thing is if you buy a phone with the old pricing structure where the purchase price was $200 for a $600 iPhone, they'll raise your per line fee from $15 to $40. I think you're on Next so not an issue.
Android is still a convoluted fragmented OS. Unless you're a POWER user...I don't see why anyone would deal with that crap.
Edit: ^Yea you save money per line by doing Next.

Yup. I've had devices on both platforms, phones and tablets. Android's update cycle is the most troubling. Nothing is guaranteed, even with a Nexus device (Google/Android's own product)
That said, it's not just for power users. I know tons of Android users that don't tinker at all. It's mostly about choice. When I went from an OG iPhone to a 3GS, other than the feel in hand and the speed, it felt like I mostly bought the same phone again, despite the 2 year gap. We shall see how I feel after a year with the new iPhone.
As mentioned, there's a device for everyone though. It does speak volumes for Apple given how many people have bought that one phone they offer (now two). Much easier to optimize everything when you design the software and hardware.

Or instead of waiting for updates you can root it and run custom ROMs and Kernels like Cyanogenmod

But I guess then again, I fall into the "power user" category... I always jailbreak my iPhone too..

I used to be a "Power User" too then I guess.

Just don't have time anymore... which is why I'm thinking on just going back to Iphone... I'm not all into my phone like I used to be.

All my iPhones were JB'd too

How about that iOS 9??

I'm excited to get it with my 6S and connect apple pay with my discover card to get 10% cash back...

Yes sir. After JB'ed iPhone 4 gave me too many problems got a Note 2 refurb for $1 with a 2 year. When that crapped out after 2 years, Asurion insurance gave me a new Note 4 with a $100 deductible
I honestly switched because iOS at the time was too restrictive vs JB'ed and Android had already a lot of those features without rooting. I understand Windows has even more customization but it's lack of 3rd party support held me back. If iOS opened it up some instead of being stubborn IMO, then I'd happily come back.

AT&T won't slow down unlimited data users until they hit 22GB

!!!!

I usually use a lot as well. But lately once I've gone over 5GB the throttle is so bad I just stop what I'm doing.

We'll go in and see what can be done.
