Wtf.
I went to sleep last night with about a 2/3 to 3/4 charge....I wake up and my iphone is dead.
I plug it in, it's holding just enough charge to bring up the battery picture and the power logo under it. Can't get it to turn on or charge more than that.
Lucky me?? ....that I already have plans of being in the mall with an apple store today. And I bought the protection plan, so I think I'm good.

AT&T ‘very’ nervous ahead of iPhone MMS launch
AT&T is rushing to reinforce its MMS messaging infrastructure ahead of the planned September 25 iPhone MMS launch, according to DSLReports. Citing people involved with the launch, the article states that AT&T is “very” nervous about the launch after seeing “record traffic” from the small group of test iPhone users for whom MMS is already active. The company reportedly had a fairly significant outage yesterday that has resulted in the beefing up of their MMSC messaging servers; estimates from those working on the project suggest traffic on AT&T’s network may spike as much as 40% on Friday as newly MMS-capable iPhone users test the feature out. According to the report, the company plans to activate iPhone users in waves, with the first group receiving a mass SMS message at around 10 a.m. Eastern Time, and continuing throughout the day, assuming all goes well.

I dont either. What, send pictures? Ive never used it, and I dont feel like Im missing anything. Right now, if I want to share pictures immediately from where Im at, I just up them to Facebook.

Not everyone has facebook. I used to use it all the time. Very useful. I can remember shopping for a gift for my mother and MMS'ng pics of gifts to my sister for her opinion. Much simpler than using email. Looking forward to having this capability back.

I guess I had a situation like that before where someone wanted me to pick up something at the store and I didn't know which one she wanted. But She didn't have MMS on her phone at the time, so I sent it to her email. Which I can do now w/o MMS, but I can see how it would've been handy if, suppose she did have MMS and especially if she wasn't in front of her computer.

its not as simple as just turning on push in the iphone settings.

and facebook was just an example, there are a sh*tload of other similar sites available for similar purposes - blogging sites like tumblr (recently tried it out, pretty cool), twitpic, etc etc. Basically if you have an iphone and a data connection, you're unstoppable.

I don't have 3.1
Right now, I don't even have a computer. It died on me last week. I sent it in to have it repaired. It's a coworker's bother that's doing it for me, so no charge anyway. (I'm assuming you need a computer to do it, right?)
thanks for the offer tho

I noticed that since I un-jailbroke it, it seems to be running a little faster for whatever reason..
