I heard police and a fire truck was at the ATT store in my work building. When I got there, there was an ambulance.

Anyone having issues with "Mail" crashing?

It crashes regularly when first opened....stalls, then crashes. Open again, and all is fine.
Switching between mailboxes can cause a crash as well.

Here’s How to Put the Annoying Newsstand Icon Into a Folder in iOS 5
I like Newsstand but some people don't! And if you're like them, it's pretty annoying how you can't hide the Newsstand away in a Folder in iOS 5. But wait! You can. All you need is some super fast fingers. Here's how.

Remember, it's all about quickness here. First make a new folder with two apps and as the folder animation is firing off IMMEDIATELY drag Newsstand into the folder. It'll jump into the folder no questions asked. Newsstand won't work from inside the folder though (it'll crash your iPhone or iPad) so you'll have to drag it out of the folder every time you use it (annoying, yes). But for those who have no interest in Newsstand, you're welcome.

This tip should work with putting folders in folders too.

Newstand and iBooks should have been one and the same.

I think it's pointless to have two apps that provide reading material when the current iBooks application allows for categories to be created.

Apple marketers are not dumb. Having a newsstand app reminds users that they can get newpapers and magazines. Bury it in iBooks and it's soon forgotten.

I never thought the marketers were dumb, but they still could have combined the two apps, and simply created an updated interface within iBooks such that it advertised books AND magazines.

If one were to never download/subscribe to a magazine and read it on the device, it's simply another icon that we're not allowed to remove that is just wasting space. And the fact that people are trying to find ways to bury it only validates my point.

If you miss it you can just go pick it up. I've done that with fedex.

So what's the best way to activate. Everything is backed up locally (for now) and I'm at work with the new phone. Can I activate it, do a final backup when I get home on my 3Gs, then just do a local restore? Or should I just wait until I get home?

Also, hearing there are issues with activation on all carriers at the moment.

So you had an older iPhone, updated to 5.0, set up cloud, and then got new phone and wifi synced? Out of curiousity how long did that take and how many GBs are we talking?

Still waiting on Fedex to make it's rounds to my neighborhood. UPS came and went already. Just one reason why I prefer UPS over Fedex.

Yes sir, about 2-3GB... probably about 30 mins? It basically tells your new phone, hey, cM3go has these apps, arranged like this, puts the place holders and then the phone talks to the app store and downloads them.

Even my photos came over. Only thing that didn't sync was my music. But that is by design I believe.

Got the GF's 4s in hand.

Too bad I can't turn it on, or she'll be without phone service for the rest of the day.

I did that to my wife, then I called (at work) her to tell her that her old phone wouldn't work. She knew before she answered the phone, I was calling from her number.

Went ahead and ordered a white 4s from AT&T. I've been dealing with my 3G for over two years so waiting up to 2 weeks for a new phone isn't a big deal.

I'm really looking forward to getting it

I just sold my old 3GS on eBay for ~$170 to a guy in California... gonna ship it tomorrow.

My 4GS got here today and is all set up and activated w/o any issues. So far so good. I'm not getting the slowness/hangups I was getting with the 3GS so I'm happy.

Going from black to white is a really weird change. I think I like it though. And Siri is my new soul mate.
