Just picked up an iPhone 4 today...16 GB in black (of course) to replace my Samsung Fascinate. The death of the Samsung was truly a blessing in disguise and had several key events not taken place in the order they did, it would still be with me now, irritating me and raising my blood pressure.

At any rate, loving my new iPhone and happy to be back after a two-year hiatus. Here is my Fascinate and its fatal wound.

That's a small percentage, considering how many people are using iPhone at all.

Makes you wonder how long they've had then 4S in production for if they're going to be able to fulfill those orders within 1-2 weeks.

I would hope considering the delay for release. I bet a shit ton of those are for Sprint. So then if the T-Mo deal falls through, next year they get it and sell another mill. Well done Apple.

what the fuck? do ya'll have a bunch of background apps running?

Mine was charged 100% at 7am, now its 9:42 am and I have 96% still and I've been playing words with friends.

The only time I noticeable know my battery life decrease is when I play games ie angrybirds

My battery will die down 20-30% overnight while sleeping if I just let it sit.

Do you leave your bluetooth turned on overnight? I find that it is one of the worst culprits when it comes to battery life.

Also, at least once a week, kill all the apps running in the background and do a hard reboot (holding down the home and lock buttons until the phone reboots, this is different than shutting it off and turning it back on).

I DO notice if I run my alarm clock app at night when it is at 100%, I will wake up 7 hours later and the battery will be drained to something like 30%.

I know but the outlet is far from my bed so I didn't have it plugged in at night when I used the phone alarm clock. Oh well, /topic.

I have to emphasize one thing.

There are many app developers that don't take the time to do performance and memory testing which can lead to poor performance both at the application level and hardware level especially when it comes to battery life. So don't be quick to jump to the phone being poor.

IIRC Scrib has been running iOS5 on a 3g since beta release. Has said in here, runs fine.
