Kids probably got whiny and she took them to the gymnastics place.

Unfortunately, the AT&T account is in her name from way back, so it's going to be tomorrow. Fucking fuck. I hate trying to be patient.

Odd thing: IT seems to have blocked the Facebook app from connecting. I wonder how those retarded monkeys managed that?

There's gotta be some difference, because FB is blocked otherwise, but wasn't through the app.

Somehow that changed in the last couple of weeks.

Gave up on trying to find a Candyshell case at the stores. Ordered it from Amazon Prime and it will ship whenever they get more in stock.

Yea, looking at the reviews for all of the screen protectors at bestbuy, no thanks.

I'll wait for power support, I've had good experience with them in the past.

And bestbuy really is worst buy.

I went to look at the universal dock, saw it was 59.99, was wow that's ass expensive.

Then I thought about it some more and remembered that it is 49.99 at the apple store. So why the hell would anyone buy it at worst buy.

The earlier tests are with the bumper.

The next three are w/o and with the death grip.

Dunno what happened on that one freakish 14KB/s upload.

But interesting that I was downloading faster.

And what really sucks the big fat one is that this is faster than my POS DSL

Same spot within 1 minute as you can see... I think you guys are a little impatient... The bars dont drop instantly

the first is of course avoiding the lower left corner and the 2nd is holding the phone in "death grip"
i didnt even move the phone's position..

and i have excellent coverage in my area...

You sit in thread thinking your Sherlock Holmes running your phone through "tests" as I'd your some self appointed tech writer searching for problems and trying to recreate them.

The instant someone finds some little issue with an apple product there you are posting about it as if it's the apocalypse. Blowing shit out of proportion.

Yeah, I think you get to retain the whiniest little bitch title. You can claim your tiara in Cupertino, cupcake.
You're grabbing at straws to support your theory if you really think I spent $3000 just to rag on the company, I don't need to spend a dime to do that.

My problem with Apple is that yeah they make great products for the most part but maybe I'm part of the small percentage but while there stuff is good there seems to some defect in every product that just about makes it not worth it for me. With the iPad it's its bad wifi reception that drops in and out for no reason. The iPad is pretty useless if you can't connect to wifi and when you're connected you get bad transfer rates. It has 802.11n wifi but it can't be more than 30ft from my router and get signal (that's with no doors or walls in the way, 30ft, that's it!) I want to use it to stream videos from my server yet even though I'm within the 30ft I still have issues with slow transfer speeds so when I watch a movie on it I often get buffering issues so I can only watch for a few minutes before it has to rebuffer. I don't have this on any other wifi devices, I had a Windows 7 PC that had 802.11n and I was 80ft away with 5 or 6 walls in the way and streaming a movie just fine of the same network and server, the shit just works.

The new iPhone is the same thing yesterday I spent have of the day with no service cause of the way I was holding the phone while whooping whiskers at words with friends I got "no service" in my house and it never came back until I restarted it even though I wasn't holding the device. I've had people complain to me about my voice sounding bad and I've had a few dropped calls cause of this death grip issue. Remember I am left handed so I'm impacted by this much more than a right handed person. I shouldn't have to be aware of how I'm holding a device at all times for fear of dropping a call. That's not magical.

What bugs me the most is that the cause for both of these issues is design choices that Apple made that can cripple the device while making it look sexy at the same time. The all aluminum back on the iPad (except for the apple logo) is choking wifi signal reducing it's portability and usability. Apple was supposed to release an update to fix this but it's been 3 months now and nothing. I will admit that if I'm not holding the phone in my left hand or it's not in my pocket I do get better signal coverage then with my 3G. But where is this phone most often? either in my pocket or in my left hand, so yeah it's a problem for ME.

my job is to troubleshoot things and find out what's wrong with them, it's how I make money. So if the new device I got is causing me issues I'm gonna try to figure out the problem. everything else you said is at worst a veiled compliment so thank you I appreciate that.

I've already explained this. The bars are total bullshit, don't trust them. miz is just in an area with great signal so it doesn't effect him in that area if he tried in an area with worse signal then it'd be very obvious to him and easily reproducible. There's thousands of videos out there demonstrating this, everyone's new iPhone does this even Sarlacc's though he won't admit it. If you're phone doesn't do it then it's broken.

Miz you're the best case senario guy in this image, it's still happening but since your signal is so good it's not having an effect.

After the upcoming update you'll see it drop 5 bars to 4 or 3 bars much more easily. Just like cake, the bars are a lie...

try the death grip in the cave you work in and watch what happens

well then my area must be god-like...

the bars are obvious to me and my signal pulls nearly 6x faster then Miz's

and miz, tell your uncle to fix his antenna

that would still make your upload speed slow in comparison to DL speed..

my connection is strictly OTA.. you would think the antenna would have much more effect...

I had to downgrade my 3G from Ios4 back to 3.1.3 since Ios4 was inconsistently loosing data connections, was super laggy at times too. Hopefully apple straightens out the issues in the next update as I know many 3G users have been experiencing similar issues.
