I hear what you are saying, it seems to be 50-50 for/against a screen protector from what i'm finding. All other devices i've owned were always protected by screen covers so I guess I just don't feel comfortable just yet going naked.
Also, I will be throwing this in and pulling it out of my bag everyday plus most likely letting my nephews play with it once in a while so I rather be safe than sorry.
I'm pretty anal with my electronics as I always plan to most likely sell them in the future to get a few bucks back.

I keep my iPad 1 in a Targus case, but don't use any kind of protectors on it when in use. It's been dropped a couple of times in the case but still looks brand new. Apple's finish for the back and the glass are top notch.

I'm just sticking to my smart cover like last time. Kept the iPad 2 front scratch free and I only had a couple scratches on the back. I hate cases and I keep my stuff in really good shape. My MBP is scratch-free (you hears that miz!) as are most of my devices and I've never dropped and broken/damaged that I can remember.

I have it all on Kennedy 8.0" cartridge tapes. Of course, it's all ASCII character pictures because all we had were CRTs. I might have some decks of punch-cards around here somewhere too.

^they'll probably hold it there at Apple's request until Thursday when they'll start moving it again. Otherwise mine would be here by tues if not wed at the latest. It says "standard overnight" delivery so probably just gonna sit at Fedex so their employees have extra time to break them before throwing it over your fence.

anyone else get charged for their iPad and then have the charge removed? When I preordered on the 7th they took the money from my bank account but when I checked today the charge was gone.
I'm sure they'll charge me again but I wish would just charge once instead of removing the charge and charging again. It took me a while to figure out why I had more money in my account than I thought I did, which made me pay for something that I should've waited a few more days to pay for.
