Anyone own a smartwatch?
so a little more than 4 months away.

me id personally wait and depending on what's announced, pick up a series 3 at a discount.
but then again my series 0 still works for now.

Series 3 is great, but the next one us rumored to have a 15% bigger screen (most likely thanks to smaller bezel) and of course better battery life. The battery life on the 3 is really good, I rarely drop under 50% battery and it only takes 30-45 minutes to charge, so I just charge it briefly before bed and when I get up in the morning.
Yea that's why I'm gonna wait for the next gen to replace my 1st gen.
id like to have one I could go swimming with and better battery life. I'm usually at 10% battery by the time I goto sleep at 12AM after unplugging at 6:30AM

Been wearing my series 3 for 14 hours and it's at 68% battery. If I wear it to bed with theater mode on, I'd wake up and it'd be around 65% and I could go a whole other day without charging.
Apple Watch Series 4 is really nice. Big improvement, screen is a lot bigger but the case is just slightly bigger, and it's more comfortable since the sensor on the bottom is thinner, it sits against your wrist flatter. Definitely worth the upgrade
The screen size upgrade feels like going from an iphone to an iphone Plus, except that the case size barely changes, it's like the best of both worlds

Love my Series 4 Watch. Space gray.
Got it with the silicone black strap since the aftermarket ones are poo. Got too sweaty on warmer and more active days, so I got a knockoff Milanese loop. Very comfy once it completely pinched off all the baby arm hairs.
The Milanese started to catch on some of my jackets though, and it was a little too flashy for casual wear, so I decided to pick up the Apple sport loop. I really like the colors on the storm gray. I thought it looked like a sweatband at first, but man is it comfortable. Will get a knockoff and then compare them.

The 4 (mine is a 3) is on sale but in black or smoke. $150 isn't bad at all

I'm very intrigued by this watch. It isn't Andriod Wear, but I'm fine with that.... The last 3 years with the Gear S3 (Frontier) has been great, but no so much on the battery life. At times, towards the end of the day, it tells me that the battery is low and I should go into battery save mode. And this is starting off with a full charge earlier in the day. I think this might just be my next watch. And it isn't as expensive as I thought it would be, unless I'm looking at the wrong model
but 1.5- 2 weeks battery charge?? That's pretty damn impressive. I also like that it has a true heartbeat monitor, which is constant, and not having to stop and be still

$50 for a Fossil smartwatch. Personally I like mine and battery lasts about a day after 2 years.

Having a Fitbit built in isn't necessarily a good thing. I started wearing Fitbit trackers back in the early days of the Surge; I had six of them fail in less than two years. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and upgraded to the Ionic, I had three fail in three years, once again requiring me to pay something like 85% of the MSRP to replace it after the warranty ran out. In disgust, I switched to a Garmin Venu 2 and couldn't be happier; far better accuracy on the GPS, much better stats; you name it, the Garmin has it all over the Fitbit.
Yea a few years back my whole family got Fitbit watches and they all stopped working. One of them actually failed within a month and was replaced under warranty. But eventually it broke again.
