I suggest you start a new thread sharing your revelation with the rest of the board - we're very supportive on here and I just know that many of the members will be excited to help share in your newfound joy. As for me, I'm just happy that you've led me to the epiphany that all my posts are just shit talking, arising from my general insecurity and possibly from the fact that my father never held me enough as a child. You're a great man, nugs3, and I think I speak for all of us when I say we owe you a huge debt of gratitude.

I thought this was a baseball thread.
Boston was playing second fiddle to the Yanks for the past 8 years in the division before this trade. Considering that this trade made Boston weaker and at the same time made N.Y. stronger. Boston fans have alot of ass kicking to look forward to this year.
That is ok, you can always reflect on 2003 and remember the good times.

Hunter is the only replacement that I would want, he is probably the only chance for Boston to save face here.
Like I said, the loss of Damon's bat hurts but I don't think it's the end of the world for the redsox.

Add that to the odds that Ortiz will have another career year like he did last year and it looks grim next year for Boston. The pitching has to be perfect in order to win. Will Schilling be 100%? I honestly don't know his status.

And my thoughts on the Damon signing is that I fault his agent the most. Boras is a cancer to MLB.

Ponson is a weird case. He's always had the "potential" tag but now, he's gotta produce. He's had pretty much one good year (2003) and he banked on it. It would kill Orioles fans if he entered spring training weighing 230 and throwing 92-93. If so, he could legitimately be a number 2 or 3 on the Cardinals staff. But if past performance is a future indicator, he'll be sloppy, undisciplined, and give up tons of home runs.

Maybe Damon's more mentally weak...
And I disagree with you, Greenie...if I were a player, I would not sign on with people like Boras in baseball or Rosenhaus of the NFL...
