Although I guess he is a little more athletic than Pizza boy...hopefully for the O's it works out though. And maybe Bruce Chen will have another monster year

Yankee fans might or might not be happy. I heard ARod on the radio and he said they were re-signing Bernie Williams. He also said they're in the hunt for Johnny Damon but that's He also mentioned he's leaning on playing for the Dominican Republic for the upcoming World Cup.

baltimore would never trade him to a division rival. though they do need starting pitching and we do have a logjam there
"The addition of Hernandez will mean less time behind the plate for Orioles catcher Javy Lopez, who complained of sore knees toward the end of last season. Lopez is eager to spend more time as a designated hitter and at first base.
Baltimore also might trade Lopez for a starting pitcher, one of the team's biggest needs."

EDIT... The sox will have a whole new infield next year... Millar is gone (not offered arbitration), Graffinino is gone (offered offered arbitration so we'll get a draft pick when he signs a multiyear deal with someone else), Renteria (traded), andMiller is gone (same deal as Graffinino).
We'll have Youk at first, Loretta at 2nd, Cora at short (or someone else), and Lowell at 3rd (and first w/ Marta at 3rd too).
If Manny gets traded and Damon signs with the yankees, Nixon will be the only outfielder left from the world series team...
It's really messed up... but it looks like we'll have a really different team next year...

"I've been with the Orioles for two years and things haven't gone in the direction that we were expecting, so I think the best thing will be a change of scenery"
Manny will produce more (RBI, HR, etc), but has those "manny being manny" issues.Tejada has a lot of intangibles going for him, and we could use a SS.
I would love to see Tejada in boston...

I met Cliff Floyd back in 97. He's pretty down to earth. They had just played the Reds actually and he got beaned by Pete Schourek. I asked him about it and he was like Yeah Man I was pissed.

I know the Yanks would love to have Damon on the team but I doubt it will happen. I don't think the Yanks are interested in signing Damon to a 7-year contract like he is looking for. He will make the team better, but that might be to big of a contract for the Yanks to put out since Damon won't be much of an improvement in the field. He has a weak arm just like Williams and people tend to run on him easily. They are better off keeping payroll down and staying with Crosby then possibly trading for someone during the year. Whatever happens at least we finally got rid of Brown.

finally someone takes a hardline stance on manny being retarded
will manny be traded? :
"Not now. His personal problems are his responsibility, not those of the team. The Angels will not give up value, and neither can the Mets. The three-way with the Dodgers and Phillies (Ramirez to L.A.; Derek Lowe, Trot Nixon and a prospect to Philly; Bobby Abreu, J.D. Drew and a prospect to Boston) fell apart quickly. For $160 million, it is Ramirez's job to accept some adult responsibility. He can ask to be traded, but he has no right to demand one. He can sit at home and forfeit $57 million, or he can forfeit the last three years and pay $40 million in damages to be a free agent." -- 12.8.05, Peter Gammons, ESPN.com Insider (subscription)
