No speculation, you got the ball twice inside of the 35, once with time left on the clock to take the lead, only to it up to tie and go to overtime. The second was enough that the Giants could have kicked from there and finished the game with running any plays. No speculation there, but luck.

I will say that the first fumble was luck and hustle, the second one was hustle and play, making it happen against someone who should have known better.

The way I see it,the Giants handled the ball better than the 49ers. It's a big part of the game and because of it, we are going to the Super Bowl and they aren't. Especially the OT fumble, that ball was hit out of his hands and recovered. That is not luck, that's good football.

The off the knee fumble was a gift, but it was a punt. If they kept the ball there, could have went three and out and we could have got the ball back and drove down field. That's where the speculation comes into play.

Niners are the best team out there, clearly the wrong team is in the SB.

If it wasn't for there 1 of 13 on 3rd down conversions and their 3 plays in 18 seconds they would have won.

SF's offense was inept. And the Giants deserve some credit for that.

They were the best team last Monday, they were the best team on Saturday, but they were not the best team Sunday.

The Giants were on a mission since week 16. I think they deserve to be in the SB again.

It's not a 9er's Number 10, Williams jersey, you'll be fine.

Wasn't going to happen, Giants only had one drive over 60 yds the whole game.

I don't know man...I just don't see this game that some of you saw where the Niner's were dominating the field and if not for the turnovers, the game was theirs. They couldn't move the ball at all on offense. I'm not even sure Smith hit 1 wide receiver in the second half. Without Gore, they had nothing.

Eli and Cruz are capable of exploding at any time and get the big play they need.

The Giants couldn't move the ball either, the needed two turnovers to get the points they needed to win the game.

Teams were dead even, it was going to come down to who fucked up first. 49ers did, but f they didn't Giants would have.

I agree. That is how these really close games usually get decided. All in all the playoffs this year have been pretty exciting, except for the egg laid by the Bungles. The other three routs were entertaining because of who the victims were.

My coworkers were really bummed out today. Somber vibe. If Ginn were playing it would have made all the difference, he's saved our asses a few times this season already. A huge part of our excellent special teams this year (which is among the best this season as well).... replaced by a guy that's fielded five punts his entire NFL career it was a very close game.

I'm still so proud of the season the 49ers had. I expected 7-9 at best, but as I've mentioned before, I don't follow college football at all. I had no idea we'd even get this far... while I wish we went further, I feel this is finally the beginning to a new era.

Also unrelated, I have a friend named Andy Lee who doesn't follow sports at all. When he does post on FB about football, he gets comments about how great he did

We heard the same thing back in 2007, with many folks still claiming the The Patriots were the better team. Funny thing is, the Lombardi trophy for that year resides in Met Life Stadium.

There are no style point (yet) in Football. The best team 'out there' wins the game. Period.

yea, and the saints would have played in the NFC champ game with one less of the 5 turnovers

Everyone is the better team when you hypothetically take away the flaws.

Yep, I believed the same thing, if it weren't for Williams' 4th QTR fumble the 49ers would have won in regulation. If it weren't for his OTHER fumble in OT then who knows what would have happened? 49ers had no offense, but neither did the Giants after the defense started stepping up. But no worries, the Giants didn't need any offense, they had Kyle Williams to give them the ball back on 4th down.

Niners lose to the Giants AGAIN in the NFC Championship game on a GW FG after a fumble. First Roger Craig, now Kyle Williams.....:thumbsdow

They shouldn't even have a AFC VS NFC, they should just have the AFC VS Niners because all players on the Niners including Kyle Williams are the best.

Clearly the 49ers will go undefeated not just 2012-2013 or 2013-2014 or 2014-2015.... They will live on a legacy.

I know you're looking for a reaction Flipper, so I'll finally give you one. You are an idiot - one who has nothing positive to contribute here and one clearly in need of upping his post count. You constantly criticize/bash the 49ers for no apparent reason other than to make yourself feel good - behavior similar to that of a schoolyard bully. You act like you are smarter than everyone else, which is clearly not true as you don't know the correct the usage of "their" and "there" as evidenced below:

When the 49ers went a league worst 2-14 in 2004/2005, I was still a proud supporter of my team. Much like most other real 9er fans I cheered them on and hoped for a better future. I didn't go around bashing the all the Atlanta Falcons fans after their loss to the Eagles in the NFC Championship game - I was envious that they had the chance.

You really have to grow up.

BigPZ, why you mad? It was clearly a joke and you gave in. :shakehead

You still trippin off that game on Sunday, get over it bro. There is a block button on here use it if you don't want to see my post bruh. That goes for anyone in here

Ok kudos to you for being a person who supported your team when they sucked, you can't say that about most of the Niner fans, living in N. Cali that only come around when the team is winning.

O damn sorry Juip, I thought I quoted Big PZ post, that's why I said I edit because I didn't want to offend you.

If I offended anyway, not just 49er fans my bad. But I will never like the Niners and I'm going to continue to talk smack about them because that's what makes it fun.
