Going to the new stadium on Friday free through work. Fish back to .500. Hopefully we sweep those stinkin Mets.

What a game for Hamilton yesterday. I wonder how much more $$ he made for his next contract?

I'm probably the only Tigers fan on the forum, but we are waiting for the bats to heat up. I'm not worried though because our division is ungodly awful.

I believe it should be longer, (miss a couple starts) and I'm glad to hear some MLB managers come out and say the same thing.
That why I said pay, not games. It would be hard to punish them for more, just to keep them out for more starts.

Bring it baby. We'll take our broom's talents to South Beach. Maybe Jose will get more than one hit in this series.

Careful last game I went to we beat the Mets. A lot of NYers down here so it'll be packed. Plus free food before the game. Should be fun!

Philadelphia Phillies: SUCK IT!

I almost hate that I am out of the office today. I am a METS fan working just outside Philly.

My paternal family mostly resides in Philly so, I'm there quite often and I remember being at the park across the street when a Philly game let out and being immersed in a sea of red. I tell you, the look I get when wearing my Mets jersey and cap.....

....and WTH does 'ILL' mean anyway?

My brother was there for work and got to go a few weeks ago. He liked it, just said it was way different than what we're used to up here

Lucky bastard is in Arlington now, trying to find time to make it to a Rangers game.

With that said, I'm headed to Florida soon and plan on attending 2 or 3 Rays games at the Trop. They'll be playing against the Red Sox, Braves, and Blue Jays while I'm down there. Will be my first visit...can't wait. I made it to the Reds / Nationals game last Friday night, my first game of the year.

I also made it to a Yankees @ Pirates spring training game in Bradenton back in March. I then spent a few weeks helping a friend replace 5,000 random seats at Great American, which was a neat experience. Basically had full access to the stadium.

I'll post some pics of everything when I get a chance

Oh, and headed back to Wrigley in August for two Reds / Cubs games. Will be my 5th and 6th games there. Same group went to Miller Park last year

Stadium was fantastic. I gotta get the pics I took with some hot co-workers. The 2nd level reminds me of PNC where you can see the game from almost anywhere on the level.

I had tickets to A's/Giant's tonight. Traffic was so fucking bad getting home from work I decided to not even bother. Given the early game slaughter I'm glad I didn't go. And I fucking hate Barry Zito.

Went to the Tigers game tonight. I know the Pirates have a pathetic offense, but Verlander made them look like a triple-a team. Single with one out in the 9th kept him form his 3rd no-hitter, but still an awesome performance. The stadium was rocking with every strike he threw from the 7th inning on.

Yankees are in the cellar for the haters out there............

They better do something fast. They have a hard June playing better then .500 teams in both leagues. They may find them selves with a major loosing record by the break.

They're only 5.5 behind Baltimore and that won't last. 3.5 out from TB is the only thing to worry about. They'll be fine. I'd be more worried as an Angels, Brewers, or DBacks fan.

Man Giancarlo FKA Mike Stanton is on a HR tear this month. Not only that we are in what seems to be a pitcher's park but he hits it with so much power. Guy's a beast.

Yah he's killed us a few times with the HR bat, him and Gaby Sanchez whom got shipped to AAA?

...

from the games i've watched when the Mets last played there, Marlins park does seem to play like a pitchers park. I like big ballparks, pitching & defense & small ball is my type of baseball. I wish they had never brought the fences in at Citifield :/

Yeah everything Stanton hits looks like a missile leaving the park.

On an unrelated note, I will never understand Dusty the Clown's managing logic. It just doesn't make sense

Yeah unfortunately Gaby hasn't hit well since last year's All Star break. Too many others playing well to give Gaby everyday AB's in the majors.

Sucks that May ended. Baseball is so weird when it comes to calendars. We had such an awesome month. And Philly is bombarded with injuries but I have a feeling will win anyways.

General Baseball Question: If the pitcher throws short into the dirt and the ball bounces up and the batter still swings and hits it fair, is this a hit?

Bill Maher buying a minority share of the Mets makes me want to

Hopefully our paths will never cross at Citifield.

BTW - RA Dickey pitches the second METS no-hitter in a month. That scorer was nuts. That was an error.

Good for Cain. However, Giants fans don't immediately need to state it was the best perfect game in history. Retards.
