Dodgers take the second game against the W.S. Champs..once again I'll say..suck it Giants!!

Something that surprised me during an interview yesterday was that a few of the Giants and even a couple Dodgers didn't even know how intense the rivalry is between L.A. and S.F., it's as bad as the rivalry between the Yankee/Redsox and history is just as long. I guess I just figured if you're a pro ball player, you're a fan of the history of the game as well.

Yea, its so intense two Dodger fans put a 42yr old Giants fan in the hospital:

The Giants fan who was severely beaten at the end of the Dodgers home opener Thursday is a Santa Cruz paramedic and the father of two children.

Bryan Stow, 42, hit his head on the pavement during the attack and is in a medically induced coma, family members told the Santa Cruz Sentinel.

"He's not doing too well," brother-in-law David Collins told the paper. "He's still unconscious and they just decided to put him in a medically induced coma. They are hoping the brain swelling will go down, but it hasn't and they are talking about removing one of his frontal lobes."

.........

Rosenberg said the victim was one of three Giants fans who were attacked in the parking lot by the two unidentified men wearing Dodgers clothing. The unprovoked attack occurred about 8:30 p.m. in Parking Lot 2 when two assailants approached three victims in Giants apparel.

The two men attacked the three victims, kicking and punching them and shouting expletives about the Giants as they delivered the blows, Rosenberg said.

The incident was witnessed by several fans, he said. The assailants fled as people tried to assist the injured man, he said. Police said the incident was captured on a security camera video and witnesses have provided details about the assailants, including a distinctive tattoo.

Yea, I saw that, its a shame that people take the rivalry to that level. Hopefully with the information provided, the authorities can catch those guys and put them away. The Dodgers and baseball don't need fans like that, my prayers go out to the family.

They need to go to prison, plain & simple.

I can't believe I am happy A.J. "only" gave up 3 runs.

Now if we can hold the 9-3 lead.................

First, Stewie Griffin of Fox's "Family Guy" uttered a funny bit about the Mets during one of last fall's episodes and it quickly spread around the Internet.

Then an unidentified SNY employee briefly played part of the clip over broadcaster Gary Cohen after the Mets' 6-2 loss to the Florida Marlins on Friday night.

Well, the Mets won their first 3 game series. That didn't happen until mid-June last year. They also went 1-8 in Miami last year. This year they are 2-1. At least it's hope.

The always interesting thing about the Mets is that have the talent and everyone knows they do. If they keep it together they can have the best lineup in the NL. I'm not saying they are going to make the payoffs, but they have the ability to.

^ Ive never doubted the Mets talent. Its the mis-management of the team that racks up the losses IMO.

Went to the Reds/Brewers game yesterday with my Dad, brother, and nephew. Reds beat 'em down 12-3 with four HRs. Perfect weather too

Can't wait to get Cueto and Bailey healthy...like what I'm seeing so far!! Brewers you hate life!!

I agree. I'm hoping that the new management this year changes all that. I like what I've seen so far. If they can keep it close until Johan is strong again, they can fight for a playoff spot.

They can easily put out a better lineup than Philly, especially with Utley hurt.

Johan (if strong) can beat any pitcher on any day. I think when Pelfrey is on he can compete with Hamels too. I'll take Dickey or Neise over Blanton. They do kick our ass in the #2 spot though, we don't have an answer for Cliff Lee.

The answer to Lee is not play against him.

That is why I am glad he went to the NL.

Just like the start to last year - call me when you play a big-boy team. Enjoy beating up on the Royals while we're on a 4-game stint in Yankee Stadium.

So how long are the Giants gonna keep Huff in right field? He's gonna cost them a lot of runs over the course of the season.

The errors he made in right field against the Dodgers had me busting up laughing, and his teammates thought the same by making a chalk outline of Huffs attempt in diving on the field during practice. He looks uncomfortable out there.

Reds are 4-0 for the first time since 1990. For those that remember, we never left first place all year and won the World Series.

Great pitching matchup going on right now at Tamba. Hellickson has 10 Ks already and Haren isn't looking bad either.

Reds lost to Brett "Wife Beater" Myers

Looks like Brandon Lyon almost blew it for 'em again
