I'm praying for a Halladay/Lee showdown in the W.S. .
The Yanks would be down 3-0 in the series if it wasn't for that 8th inning meltdown in the first game. The Rangers are taking it to them, I'm loving this series!!

I hope the Rangers beat us quickly and leave NY with the championship. I dont want the Yanks to give us false hope. Game one was a fluke. The Rangers outplayed us in all three games, even Cashman admitted that.
But I have a bone to pick with Joe. CC in game one was a given. Hughes in game two?? Why? Pitch Andy in game two, give us a chance to take two in Arlington and have Burnett pitch game three because we all know we couldnt beat Lee anyway. Then CC can pitch on short rest in game 4 and game 7 if needed. Instead, the Rangers will be one win away from the WS at the end of tonight because Burnett is on the mound.
Another thing, why pull Wood for Logan to start the ninth? Wood has better odds of getting out of that inning without giving up a run. We probably still wouldn't have come back had it stayed at 2-0, but at least it wouldnt have been as demoralizing.
Anyway, go Giants!

Quade gets the interim tag removed by the Cubs.
Well, I guess if you never wanted Ryno to manage your team, you just got your wish. Come on down to Atlanta and be our hitting coach for a couple of seasons.

Cliff Lee
And I agree with you civicdrivr, he simply wasted Pettite. Should've threw Burnett in there to get raped last night because it wouldn't have made a difference.
But whatever, I'm pulling for the Rangers

I agree. He's done everything the org. has asked of him, at every level.
I like Ryno as much as anyone, and wouldn't be surprised if he left, but I think we hired the right guy.
If Ryno goes somewhere else and has success or wins a championship, please believe riots will ensue and the Northside will be burned down.

Whats that? Toss in the towel? Look at how theyre playing. We're missing Tex now. Posada is a waste of a lineup spot and his defense is lacking to put it mildly, ARod isn't hitting, neither is Swisher and Gardner. Cano and Granderson cant do it themselves. And thats not even looking at our pitching staff. How did we get into the playoffs anyway and where is the team that swept the Twins??

I love how Yankee fans fight tooth and nail to defend their team when they are doing well, but once they are losing and seem to be done for, the towels are thrown in and they automatically suck. Nothing I love more than to see Yankee fans suffer.
I'm so glad that the Rangers are not just winning but are completely dominating the Yanks. Although, to be honest, I'm actually pretty surprise how bad the Yankees are playing, I thought it was going to be a closer series.

A Giants-Rangers Series would make my month.

Remember when we discussed how bad the Mets are? Remember how I said if the Yankees sucked I'd say so?
The Yankees are sucking right now, BUT 80% of the problem are the hairbrained decisions made by Girardi. If he could manage this may well be a different series.
The Rangers "domination" has occurred after Girardi either left a pitcher in too long OR took him out too soon.
Look no further than last night. He got away with 5 innings of MURDER with AJ. I don't blame AJ for the three runs he gave up in the 6th. I blame JOE. Robertson should have started AND FINISHED the 6th.
AND I HAVE NOT GIVEN UP, I just hope on a small level they lose because the Girardi experiment is a failure IMHO.

I never wanted him hired. He micro manages and makes the wrong decisions every game. All season long he has left pitchers in too long when they clearly were not doing the job. How else do you think AJ got a 7.xx era? He left him in to give up 7+ runs almost every game this year. Last nights 5 was good!
Look at the last two games. Starting pitcher gave up 5 or less runs bullpen gave up 7+!
As I said due to the talent of the team they have won with the handicap of Girardi

I LOVE that the Yankees are losing right now. I jumped up and cheered when Molina hit that home run last night. It's music to my ears when I hear Yankee fans complain about the most successful franchise in the country. Most Yankee fans couldn't even list the rotation if they had to. It's sad.
And before you start with the Mets cabrio, this has nothing to do with me being a Met fan, I would feel this way if I was a Giant, Philly, Texas, or Pittsburgh fan. So spare me the "Met's suck" routine, I already know they do. I'm not too happy with the Mets right now either.
