Always been a fan of Mauer. Class act who stayed loyal to his team, humble and hardworking, and the antithesis of the $$-loving, hired guns of my beloved Yankees (with the exception of Jeter, Posada and Rivera),

The thought of splitting at home scared me. They have to start getting some clutch hits.

I went to bed and we were down 4-1.

The injury bug got us AGAIN though. We're the walking wounded.

I'm officially embarrassed...definitely not the team I've been watching all year, and the complete opposite of how we normally play

So many stupid mistakes

Is TBS's Pitch Trax that far off or is the ump giving the widest strike zone in MLB history in the Rangers/Tampa game?

Start spreading the news.....

I have tickets to game 4 for ALCS, can't wait. Went to game 6 last year, stadium was crazy.

I think Texas will take one more from the Rays, if not tomorrow with Davis on the mound then in Game 5.

Texas is tough, I just feel after Lee, they have

Yankees Phils WS yet again? I'll take Yankees in 5.

I hope it goes 5 games. Don't care who wins, it's a mixed bag for the Yankees they had ups & downs against both teams during the regular season.

If the Yankee pitchers show up and their batters play like they can it won't matter.

You had more downs than ups with the Rays. That said, I believe a more interesting matchup would be with the Rangers, as they have more consistant hitters and haven't played each other as much in the regular season.

Got an extra ticket?

I found out last night that my mother had tickets to game three (of the LDS). But she wanted come down to VA to visit instead. Her excuse for passing on them was "I had no one to go with". Im still fuming over that.

Hughes pitched a hell of a game surprisingly. Hopefully he can keep the ball rolling in the LCS. And hopefully we continue to hit like we have been. Although ARod hasn't done much, but Ill gladly trade his production as long as the rest of the lineup is hitting.

No matter if we face the Rangers or Rays in the LCS, its not going to be easy to advance.

Oh, and Rays up, 5-1 in the bottom of the 6th.

We played the Rays more and when we played we were sucking frequently.

We play well no one can beat us in a series.

We suck girlscout team will butcher us.

I'm guessing Brooks Conrad won't be with the Braves next year.

Cinci errors? wtf is with Rolen and Cabrera.

Phils pitching was exceptional as expected. But their bats better wake up for the NLCS.

Love the hot dog pic

Man I checked my baseball league. Had I used 300 innings that I didn't use I might've won it. I finished 4th leading in most hitting categories. I had Victor Martinez, Tex, Weeks, Bautista, Tulowitzki, Choo, Torii, Figgins, and Votto. Most of the team Yahoo drafted for me but I did pick up Bautista who went nuts. I actually was near the bottom till like the All Star break and then climbed towards the end.

Rays had best road record in MLB, but among worst, of playoff teams, at home. Price will pitch Tues. and if they win that one he won't be able to go up against C.C.. Shields pitched 2nd in this rotation and is horrific
Not sure if Maddon can pull a rabbit out of his hat in this scenario.

I kinda felt bad for Conrad on that last line drive through his legs. Those hard sinking liners are probably the hardest to field, plus the ump was right there and was no doubt a distraction. Tough play but I guess you gotta make it in the playoffs.

I really don't know what to think about the Reds. Everybody knew it was gonna be next to impossible having to face those three SP, but our defense and mental errors were just embarrassing

I'm quite happy with our pitching though (besides game two's meltdown). They kept it close, which is all you can ask for.

I really can't see the Giants or Braves offenses doing anything either...or anybody from the AL for that matter Predicting a WS for you guys

What are you Phil's fans thinking about Howard? Think he'll give much production the rest of the way?

He just looks a little lost at the plate right now

He is one of two guys who drive me nuts. I just can't understand how he can look so clueless at times. His bat speed seems a little slow to me right now, and throw him a breaking ball down and in a little bit, and he'll swing over it every time.

The other guy who drives me nuts is Rollins. He's not healthy yet. He needs to be on the bench and used as a late inning pinch hitter. Valdez should be their everyday SS. Look at the play where Rollins didn't cover second on a ground ball to 2nd base...Utley had to run the ball to 2nd for the out.

I think he hit rock bottom facing Chapman in (I think) game 2. Three straight pitches, three ugly swings not even close to contact

And I was wondering why Rollins was in when they kept saying how bad of shape he was in. We kept throwing over when he was on first...was waiting on him to yell "I couldn't f%@#%#$% steal if I wanted to, okay?!!"

If we're gonna not make it past SF, just lose tonight. Let Bobby's last moment in a uniform be in front of our crowd.

Fourth third baseman. Third second baseman. Second shortstop and first baseman. Four fourth outfielders...

Damn good job Bobby.

I think if he doesn't get a lucky swing soon and belt a HR, it's just going to get worse and worse. His frustration builds quickly and he'll keep looking lost at the plate. Lefty's will keep throwing sliders away and he'll keep chasing.
