Dodgers sweep the hated ones from the north. Balco Barry didn't hit any HRs. Maddux throws 68 pitches in 8 innings and only gives up 2 hits.

Oh, we'll join you in your laughter when the Tigers play the ChiSox again.

9-3 season series tally so far for the Sox, BTW.

Minnesota just lost their 2nd Starter for the season

Yankees lineup top to bottom is tough, better than Boston, Detroit & Chicago.
Yankee pitching is not so hot either.....Wang is your strongest pitcher. The Moose isn;t what he used to be, Randy ain;t dandy anymore, any even the invincible Mariano can be touched now. Yanks are still the team to beat in the AL IMHO because of the bats, but your pitching could be your down fall in a short play off series.

Easy on Mariano now. 30 out of 33 saves, only 2 HR's, 1.86 era & 43 strike outs.

the guy was not human in the begining of his career, so not he is just on the elite closer level instead of untouchable and people are saying he is no good.

I agree and disagree..Agree Yankees pitching sucks but it isn't bad compared to what they will be facing and if the pitching gives up 3 runs or less the Yanks will cruise. Your evaluations is a bit harsh but it's ok..

Wang-Struggling his last 2 starts
Moose- Struggling last couple of starts
Randy- putting it together, but I hope they buy him out at season's end
Mariano- He'll be fine, sometimes he seems he's not focused.

I hope we have a subway series because I'll have a hard time watching Willie Randolph lose, I wore #30 all through little league and high school because of him and I play 2nd Base too.

Bobby Drunks hasn't been very good THIS year. 3-3 3.60 ERA, 22 R, 5 HR allowed. Velocity is down, curveball doesn't fool good hitters anymore.

Joe Nathan: 6-0 1.59 ERA, 1 blown save, 9 R allowed. Solid.

Nathan has turned into a premier closer. Chew on this: the Giants traded Joe Nathan, Boof Bonzer and Francisco Liriano for AJ fucking Perzynski, who was a clubhouse cancer and is no longer with the club.

I've been a Giants fan for 37 years and I'm still over that one.

Gee, do ya think Brian effen' Sabean got fleeced on that one?

Pffft...Jenks has 33 saves...and that's baseball-leading. So there.

And for good hitting teams that faced him recently like the Yanks and Tigers, they sure didn't figure out his little curveball and fastball, did they?

Hey, there there...

Maybe Liriano is like Wood/Prior...one amazing tease and injured for the rest of his life with elbow/arm problems?

Word Jenks kept throwing that curveball in the dirt and they still were swinging at it.

Not saying Jenks is the same...but, it's kinda the same as Contreras's forkball...it goes right into the dirt but people still swing at it...

And i remember watching Gange and Lidge . . . Just when you think they will be in Rivera's class . . .

But Nathan has been pretty consistent but has been doin it quietly being in Minny.

And Dotel enters the game for the Yanks. Lets see how he does
