LFG RANGERS!!!!!!!!!!!
iTrader: (6)
No problem. I am cranky as Lucy pulled the football away again. (and I knew they were going to lose, I thought they would go to game 7 though)
here for the LA gangwagon....ya, only because the Lakers and Clippers have lost out, but still.
So how do you play this game?

Not me. I said they were playing great at the end of the season.
That changed and I never said anything about them (except in response to comments) because I know how it feels (like I feel now).

I've gotta root for the Kings - not just because I hate the Devils but because they never won a cup.

I said all along unless they are playing the Rangers I'll root for them. I am not jumping on the bandwagon, Rangers are my team but I'd be rooting Kings anyway, that they are playing the Devils makes me really want them to destroy them.
I hope they win 10-0 in all four games going to a sweep.

I like the Kings, I like Doughty and Scuderi, but I have a really hard time rooting for Richards and Carter...

Not even close, Bill has all the personality of a wet towel and he certainly doesn't give out any inside information but he isn't rude he's just dull.
Torts doesn't give out any information and acts like a complete asshat while doing it.
It's weird but I kinda liked Torts after watching NHL 24 but after these playoffs he's back to being a douche in my book.

I agree Torts is unpleasant.
I liked Renney but we did not win under him. (neither did Edmonton) In Torts defense, I think getting hit with 50k in fines would make anyone less likely to talk to the people he was talking to when he was fined.

I can't argue. I'd rather have a coach I dislike (Torts)and be winning than one I like (Renney) and losing.

NHL Labor Standoff Looms As Devils Face Kings For Stanley Cup
A Stanley Cup championship won’t necessarily keep the New Jersey Devils or the Los Angeles Kings from losing money, and the winner may have to wait a while to defend its title.
The Devils, who missed an $80 million debt payment in September and took a $10 million loan from the National Hockey League this year, host the Kings in tonight’s opening game of the best-of-seven Stanley Cup Final at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The finalists are among 18 NHL clubs that lost money last season, according to a Forbes study.
As a possible work stoppage looms for the league, things are so bad for the Devils, owned by Jeff Vanderbeek, a former member of the executive committee at Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc., that banks may seize the team and force a sale, said Rob Tilliss, founder of Inner Circle Sports, an advisory firm based in New York......

So is anybody placing odds that we'll see a partial/lockout season next year? Given all the issues at hand, plus realignment that got punted, it sure will be an interesting off-season.
The count just lowered his asking price on the Winter Classic if that's any indication of confidence.
