I have to disagree with you. Smid asked him to go a few times and Avery said no. Then Avery decides to jump him, taking advantage of Smid's guard being down. That's a cheap shot in my books.

Not in my books. Cheap shot is something you never see coming with no chance to defend yourself.

Smid saw this coming, and he threw off his gloves.....however, Avery's I will dance, I won't dance.....j/k here comes the dance = classless.

Smid's an idiot for trying to start a fight and them letting his guard down. Not saying Avery's a stand up kinda guy but trying to start a fight and not keeping your guard up is foolish.

After a handful of games, I think the Versteeg/Stalberg trade looks better for Chicago than the Leafs...The latter scoring 6 goals so far compared to the pair potted by the former Hawk.

Hawks also scored a few prospects too.

Before Waldorf comes sprinting in here, his beloved Kings are #1 in TSN's power rankings.

Enjoy it.

Call it what you will, at the end of the day it was a bs play.

I agree, but at what point do you let your guard up when you've asked a few times to go and the other guys says no? Smid didn't think it was going to happen so he backed off and that's when Avery went after him.

Pfffft...the last 2 games were the first time the Hawks iced their full roster. Now, here's hoping they can pick it up a bit because the Brown Things and Blues are running away with the division.

He is a treat to watch. Never really knew him to be a 2-way player until he signed with the Hawks.

I only have that for Toews. Not that blinded, thank-you. Hossa is a pretty good two-way player.

And you already admitted you don't watch much Hawks games.

Nice 44 second scuffle tonight in Beantown. I'm liking this kid McQuaid, solid D and sticks up for his team and himself.

Good game for the Leaves last night. The only thing the refs didn't do was actually put the puck in the net FOR them. X-Mas came early this year.

Avery's a cheap douche, he definitely swung super quick to catch him off guard, but like others said, if you're gonna drop the mits, you better be ready to fight and defend yourself, especially with a douche like avery

Hey Waldorf...on the local hockey talk show today, they were yacking about how your Kings may be dangling Schenn in a package for Iginla...

If anything...interesting.

2 tickets off of Stubhub for section 220 row 28, seats 3 and 4...$300.
2 two-way tickets for the park-and-ride subway ride...$11.
5 beers and some popcorn...$44.25.
Watching my favorite player score a hat trick live and in person...Priceless.

For everything else, there is Mastercard. Well, okay...I use Visa.

Anyone hear anything about Mike Richards vs P.K Subban?

Apparently we got nothing to talk about here in Toronto so every little hockey story gets covered. How them Steelers doing Jonsei?

Anyway, Mike seems to think that P.K is too cocky and someone might do something about it someday.

Anyone think race is playing a part in this?
