Contraction would be too good for them. I can't wait for all their ancient players to retire.

Leads, H...Leads.

I think they held leads in most of their recent losses. Same as yesterday. Then, as I said to the wife, "Watch this...they are gonna lose now."

And yep. Loss. To the Blues. Out of a playoffs...

Hawks definitely are giving up leads left and right, and Vancouver is playin well. West is getting very interesting

Yup. Gave up a 4 goal lead last night to the Oilers but they are definitely making some noise in the west.

The twins have unbelievable chemistry. I don't think I've ever seen two players who know where each other are on the ice better than the Sedins.

They're like the same player, it's crazy to watch them on the ice together

Yes, like Power Rankings really matter. I still see Chicago up on the Central no matter how badly they are stinking lately.

Wings? Third place...behind a supposedly rag-tag group in Nashville and a bunch of kids in Chicago.

Anyhow, I'm going back to listening in to Chicago beat up the Wild. GO HAWKS!

Pens trying to channel the cawks, losing to a last place team last night, was a hard one to sit through, pull it together dammit

Caps are losing focus as well. I'm hoping this slump provides a kick in the ass - I'd rather them slump now than in round 1 of the playoffs.

But, hey...the Wings are heating up. The Pens, Caps, and Hawks...all suck. Give Detroit the Cup.

I love how Fibo starts showing up when the Wings get things turned around.

But really, how far can they go with that goal tending?

^ You mean, the goaltending that let the WORST team in the League, the Oilers (who are the closest to an AHL team as you get), come back from 3-0 and then 4-3...?

But, hey...I suppose I'll zip it because well, the Chicken Wings did win it on a fluke goal to make it 5-4 against Edmonton. But, it's nice to know taking it toe-to-toe with a farmteam is a big accomplishment.

Now, goaltending was the clinic Niemi put up against the Wild yesterday especially on that 5-3 penalty kill. Holy. Some of his saves are just WTF-worthy...

Let's hope this goes into the playoffs.

Datsyuk scored a beauty tonight. Side steps the d-man and goes cheddar on Mason.

better choose your words wisely, they could still end up seeded against the hawks in first round.

As much as I welcome the Crap Wings, it looks like it may likely be a Kings vs. Hawks opening round...which will also be a good matchup.

Yummy-that's 2 in a row for the Blackhawks. It doesn't sound like much, but it's a lot better than they've been doing lately....it's promising.

Just when I think the Rangers are done they win three in a row and get within a few points of contention.

Hawks vs. Kings opening round...

But, I'd be fine with Detoilet too. Only fitting that the team that kicks the Crap Things' off of the Central crown will eliminate them from the 2010 playoffs.

<--- Not diggin' how the Caps are playing going into the playoffs. Even as they are trying to focus on defense and playing tough games, I'm nervous about their zone play. The last two games, teams have clamped down in the Ovy-Backstrom-Knuble line by jamming the middle and thwarting cross-ice head man passes.

Uh oh.

Your team seems fine to me. Sure, they have goalie question marks just like a tonne of other teams (I'm throwing in Vancouver into this because well, Lou can't stop a beachball these days)...

I'm more curious what set off Umberger and his hate for the Caps.

Your team will be in contention for a spot next year and most likely be in one in Year 3 of the Burke Program.
