My point was to put a less hyped series on at 1. Although no game at 1 would be best.

And I think a Kings-Habs game was on at 10am local time this past season.

When there is hockey on, I get CBC (non-HD) and Versus (HD). I think the Canadian announcers are much more fun to listen to. I can't stand Versus either.

What the hell is wrong with American announcers? They sound like hockey is the worst sport ever.

I hate most American Hockey announcers, they make a big deal out of nothing and repeat things.

Versus announcers are the worst.

The Nucks did horrible...up 2 - 0 then fucked up the entire game 6 -3 Chicago. :shakehead .

They play better away from home. They should do better the next 2 games.

Anyone watching the Canadian broadcast of the Caps-Pens? The announcers are sucking Varlamov off. He makes a decent leg save (not Roy-esqe but good) and the announcers are begging him to cum in their mouths. Then he makes a lucky at best glove save and their pleading for ass-to-mouth.

The Caps would do better to play some defense.

Crosby is playing great tonight. Some great passing. I've said it before - his vision is awesome. Very Gretzky-esque. Also he's fucking fast when he has enough space to get moving.

Ovechkin must be in Fluery's head that last goal didn't look unstoppable.. Not a fan of the second goal where Cooke was tripped up but it was Malkins fault for taking a fucking retarded penalty on the power play..

Will Malkin show up this series?

The Caps are lucky to have won:

(a) our defense sucks as usual
(b) again with the neutral zone turn overs jesus
(c) Where's Backstrom?
(d) Where's Semin?
(e) Why is Ovechkin taking like 1.5 minute shifts? He's clearly gassed after 1 minute.
(f) If Jurcina takes one more shit penalty, he should sit.

Actually, given that our defense sucks, the disappearance of Backstrom is the most serious issue. You can't win this series, and certainly can't win a cup, if your best center doesn't show up.

Yea since the two goals weren't enough to sway your thinking. It was the third goal that put you over the edge?

I was at the game last night and I have to say the Caps fans probably did the best job of preventing Pens fans from having a presence that I've seen in a long time. They even tried to talk a little smack, but only in the men's room when the ladies weren't around. They made fun of my Carolina blue Pens t-shirt, so I countered with "at least our fans don't wear suits to the game." (Yes I saw 5-7 caps "fans" wearing suits in the upper level. I know you just came from work, but seriously, you can't find 3 minutes to change before the game?)

Onto the actual game, I thought it was similar to game 1 in the sense that the Pens stormed out of the gate then slowly but consistently got more flat and sluggish. And Varly stopped most minor chances they got towards the end of the game. I'd say we're just about done unless someone other than Crosby can score. I think this game/series will finally put to rest the whole "Crosby isn't even the best player on his own team" talk. No goals in 5 games for Malkin is not going to do the trick.

Malkin def has fallen off, I was surprised he was only a -1 in game 1, I thought it was way worse. Great game on both sides. Varlamov is just stopping everything, so many chances in front of him, and nothing goes in, although his D sure help block the net as well I've noticed. Oy, I knew this would be a long series, but damn. At least it's back to Pittsburgh for 2 games, I will officially have no voice on Thursday
