I thought we agreed reverse psychology doesn't work past the first round?

I think Pitt has had the perfect amount of rest while the Caps may be drained from a challenging game 7. I expect the Pens to win game 1. Game 2 will be up in the air.

Due to the massive amount of orders for this shirt, and the fact that the Capitals are moving on to the second round of the playoffs, we have decided to extend the promotional pricing period for this shirt. All orders placed by 10am Thursday, 4/30 will be sent out asap via priority mail either Thursday afternoon or Friday morning. Maroon quantities are limited, however the Black will still be going strong.

To make my picks I channeled Yumchah by placing a Mint in box Optimus Prime from 1986 on a ouija board then placing the ouija board in a Aston Martin that had it's trunk filled with "Captian Serious" jerseys.
The west
Chicago over the Canucks in 1 Toews scores a million points and ultimately is named supreme leader of the Earth world peace ensues. The Stanley Cup is immediately renamed the Toews cup and all previous names are removed. The Cup is re engineered to transform into a robot and an Aston Martin. The rest of the teams in the now defunct NHL bow to their new cool young leader and Overlord and will protect his palace.

I was at the game tonight...I was watching Toews closely tonight and had noticed that he looks like he has a "lower body" injury. He had no jump and didn't really have any impact on the game. I was surprised that Campbell wasn't on the ice as well, but the Hawks still couln't go wrong with Seabrooke and Keith. Also it was also worth noting that Wellwood played a great game tonight!

And once again I'd like to thank Gary Bettman and his staff for putting the most marquee playoff matchup the NHL has likely ever had on a Saturday afternoon at 1PM. Pure Genius. This man obviously knows who butters his toast (NBC who pays nothing) and how to best grow the sport.
How the count is still employed by the NHL truly baffles the mind. Although I'm sure they love him in Phoenix since he's now paying the bills

Maybe a 2nd team in Phoenix? This once seems to be doing well.
GLENDALE, Ariz. -- The president of the Phoenix Coyotes says the NHL has not assumed control of the cash-strapped hockey club.
Glendale city manager Ed Beasley told The Arizona Republic that the league is running the team and has promised to reimburse the city for parking fees and security costs at Jobing.com Arena, which is located in Glendale.
But Coyotes president Doug Moss said Thursday that team officials remain in control of the franchise.
"The bottom line is the NHL is not in control," Moss told The Associated Press. "It's not running the franchise.
"To say they've taken control -- we're having conversations with the league. (General manager) Donnie Maloney is running the draft. I'm reporting to (owner) Jerry Moyes. It's business as usual."
The league declined comment on the report when contacted by The Canadian Press.
The NHL Players' Association said the report was an NHL matter, with executive director Paul Kelly offering only that "we have received no indication from the league that the Coyotes may not be playing in Phoenix next season."
Kelly in the past has said that the union is monitoring the situation in Phoenix and that the NHL should look to Canada first if a team needs to relocate.
Beasley told the Republic the league started running the team around the time a rent payment was made in late February. The city and the league are working together and he expects all payments to be made in full, he added.
A call to Beasley was not immediately returned to The Canadian Press.
According to Glendale city records, the Coyotes stopped paying the city rent, parking fees and most of its security costs at the arena in August.
Moss declined to discuss specific financial details but added, "We're up to date on the lease."

I could be wrong but aren't NBC and ESPN married pretty much? You sure Bettman isn't playing politics trying to get back on a normal station in the US? And trust me I'd do anything to get it off the POS Versus.. This is like fvcking torture here in the US for a hockey fan..

And it is ABC.
Better hope game 1 doesn't go into OT Jonsei. The Kentucky Derby is on after the game.
ESPN on ABC is the brand used for sports programming on the ABC television network. On September 2, 2006, the former ABC Sports division was fully integrated into ESPN, which, like ABC, is controlled by The Walt Disney Company.[1] Programming on ABC currently has the ESPN logo in the digital on-screen graphic displaying the game score, and use the ESPN BottomLine and SportsCenter In-Game Updates. The change was made to better orient ESPN viewers with the programming on ABC. The ABC logo is used on the watermark-like digital on-screen graphic in the bottom right hand corner of the screen, and is also used for promotions so that viewers will know to tune into the broadcast network and not cable ESPN. [2] Despite its name it is not a simulcast of ESPN on the ABC network.
