Man, you gotta lay-off teh robotic weaksauce - the Wings only sport the longest consecutive post-season appearance streak (17) of any professional team/league currently.

So...? Braves did something similar in baseball?

And don't worry, your team's days of ruling the old Norris are near over. The roster is getting too old for this to continue. And although there are obviously some bright spots on the farm, I don't see anyone scaring me on Detroit.

And when that season arrives, hoooo...you're gonna hear it worse than it is now.

The weird thing is that everytime the Wings lose a player, this team always finds a replacement immediately. The wings lose Federov, Datsuyk steps up...Yzerman retires, Zetterberg emerges, etc. This is why the Wing's management team are coveted by other organizations.

It's sad to say that the Wings find more super stars in the later rounds than most teams draft in the first round.

Its not weird, it comes down to ownership and creating a culture of winning. Everyone loves to play for Detroit because Illitch is the best owner in Hockey, he creates an atmosphere where guys are taken care of and appreciated.

If you want to see an ownership of failure, look no further than the Lions. The only thing consistent on their years and years of mediocrity is their owner!

Another interesting tid bit going back to the discussion we were having a couple days ago. A team captained by a non-North American has never won the Stanley Cup. Never..... Coicidence??

So if the Wings do in fact go on to win it all, Lidstrom would be the first.

Pens in 6.

I hate when inevitable conclusions are drawn out like this. The Wings should have officially won the series after game 3.

Detroit is slacking. Their offense can do much better against the D of Dallas.

I'm not the one who said "biatch", so no negativity on my end

I will admit, I want the Wings to win (even though I hate Detroit and Dallas equally), but the Pens will win the cup

Couldn't happen to a more deserving captain, European or otherwise.

Thanks to the Pens for saving my marriage by making this game a pathetic snoozefest., allowing me to turn it off. I can only hope that the Wings at least give the Pens some sort of competition for 4 games.

Now off I go wine tasting.
