^Crosby takes the body on every shift! The game isn't the same as a few years ago and when he puts his arms up expecting a call it isn't about "whining" It's called inconsistency from the refs they need to learn how to fairly call a game both ways. Crosby draws a ton of penalities because of his superior skill level.. Hooking and grabbing all that isn't put up with anymore and the players should learn to adjust or sit their ass in the box. This debate could go on and on.. I'm interested to everyone elses pov

Dont blame the refs for his :theghey:

I never said he was not skilled he just complains a lot. He is young and will learn to hold his composure eventually.

I agree the refs are inconsistent. They can't see everything though.

I love the critics that are the same fans that only show up at the end of the season when their team is in the playoffs..

Ovechkin celebrates every goal as if it were both the first and last goal ever scored.

He has such an incredible passion for the game. You can actually see some of the same characteristics when Malkin scores a goal. It's obvious the days when the russians would score a goal and would simply line up for the faceoff at center. I'd love to see the pens/caps as a first round matchup. I feel if the pens/flyers play it will be one hell of a series obviously but whomever comes out on top will have paid the price for it and will have a tough time moving deep into the quest for the cup.

i think both reactions show passion for the game... the over joyous celebrations and the seriousness of the older russians. both shows the dedication to the game while the ladder is not as exciting to watch, real hockey fans could be nothing but impressed / shocked with the sheer level they played at every shift. it was almost scary to watch sometimes the way the made it look like a joke.

Bruins in the playoffs!!! haven't been able to say that since before the lockout

So it'll be a tough first round, Penguins or Montreal.

I have got to get to the Caps game tomorrow, after reading the new standings! I have this feeling that Ovechkin will go off again with the knowledge that a win = playoffs.

Who thought the CAPS would be leading the east going into the last game of the year? This is awesome. Bye Bye 'Canes fans!

I see they are tied.. What is the tiebreaker? Regular season record against the other team?

The NHL has to be pleased that the best player in hockey will play in the playoffs. I hope they keep it up. No letdown (knock on wood)!!

From 14th place to playoffs in 1/2 season....wow.

Ovechkin = Hart
Boudreau = Adams
Backstrom = Calder

I can't stand Bruce Boudreu (sp?) well I'm just happy he isn't coaching the damn bears anymore. As an avid AHL fan of the Norfolk Admirals we've have some many heated confrontations with his squads
