and I had Karerle last year, and for a D man, he was solidly consistant. i would have traded you someone somewhat decent for him

Yeah, one player will not win you the AZ championship. Especially one of Kaberle's talent.
That said, I'm a bit more pessimistic about Da Hacks. They looked real amateurish the other night, more like saturday night shinny hockey at the neigborhood rink.

Cuz, like...I don't understand why you did it. Unless Jonesi promised you a cut...?

I offered Shannahanigins for Malkin b/c the news outlets were reporting Malkin was out two weeks before re-evaluation. At the time I was doing well and could afford to have a player not on the IR just sit on my bench. Shannahanigins was on fire..
Given the scenarios it was a fair trade. I was in first, FDL was in last.. I went for a risky trade fdl played it safe and got a veteran from the Rangers PP unit..

I think the trade was more than fair... Shanny will be up there in terms of point production

And no, I'm not 2nd guessing the Mystery Man, but I still would not have traded away Malkin until I knew what he was capable of esp. with all the talk that he is as good as Ovechkin and light it up just as good...Then, throw in the possibility of being on the same line as Crosby? Oof...

They weren't supposed to play on the same line and didn't do so in the preseason since they're both centers..

The sizzle in the Steak
Patrick O’Sullivan to the minors
So much for him having a break-out year.
The writting was on the wall for many games.
...better luck next year

The Los Angeles Kings have assigned center Patrick O’Sullivan to the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced Thursday.
O’Sullivan, 21, has two points (1-1=2) and six penalty minutes in 12 games with the Kings this season. The 5-11, 190-pound native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, made his Kings/NHL debut on October 6 at Anaheim and scored his first Kings/NHL goal versus Minnesota on October 18.
O’Sullivan played in 78 games for Houston (AHL) last season and had 93 points (47-46=93) and 64 penalty minutes. His 47 goals ranked third and his 93 points ranked fourth in the AHL while both totals ranked first among rookies in the league. In eight playoff games with Houston last season, he had an additional 10 points (5-5=10) and four penalty minutes and he led his club in scoring. O’Sullivan won the Dudley “Red” Garrett Award as the AHL’s Outstanding Rookie at the close of last season.
The Kings acquired O’Sullivan, originally selected by Minnesota in the second-round (56th overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, and a first-round choice (Trevor Lewis) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft for Pavol Demitra on June 24.

Didn't help that the refs didn't call the high stick which would have been four minutes , one could clearly see the gash on Chara's head.

Now you guys know why I don't want him anymore, I have enough of him.
I have lots of forwards who can score a lot. My new D-man will help me out on the +/- side.
