The Only player in that deal to the Pens that was apart of the future was possibly Esposito. Do you see Christensen or Colby being part of the core group????

And the Pascal Dupuis 3 SHG this season.. That's what I'm talkin about.. He's obviously pretty good on the PK. Now take a look at where the Pens rank in penalty killing this year..

Next question....

Armstrong was crosby's best friend and roommate, but didn't produce that much offense. Christensen was our sniper and shoot out guy, I'm more upset about him leaving, but he wasn't a huge goal scorer like hossa so it's kind of a trade-off. We don't know hossa's contract status yet, but jonesi's right, dupuis def adds to the PK so it's a fair trade i guess

And give the Pens a break, it was their first kick at the can. I just hope they didn't screw up team chemistry.

Listen live here... http://penguins.nhl.com/

I haven't heard Shero yet. So no clue..

Christensen.. Soft.. Weak.. Strong points.. Money on the Shootout. Best shot I've seen in a Long time.

Colby - He's just Colby. And has always been Sids teammate. No one wants to see Colby go.

I believe both of their contracts are up at the end of the year..

No. Both need to get out of the comfy environment and see what they can do. Especially Christensen, he's gifted has all the talent but no motivation or strength.

Not a peep out of Jersey. Interesting.

At this point, I'd want to play Ottawa first round, that team is a mess.

It is only better if Maid Marian signs with the Pens...otherwise, I'm more or less meh to the deal.

To me, I think the best deal of the day was the Stars getting Richards from T-Bay.

Problem is (although it is a good problem to have) what are the Kings going to do with 14 picks?

I can't see them drafting 14 players. They should....& I hope they do trade some picks away.

Easy. Trade them all to the Make Beliefs for their older players...the Leafs are desperate for a youth movement.

My other winner for today are the Caps: getting Huet for a 2nd rounder was a steal IMO.

Very happy. JSA =
We only signed him for a 1-year contract...at least we go something for him

I'm surprised Burke even offered a 7th.

I loved christensen but he isn't as big of a producer as we needed him to be, getting more used to hossa and dupuit coming over. No contract for hossa, he's an unrestricted FA at the end of the season, sounds more and more like a rental to me, but we'll see

Oh and yummy, thanks for the 6'7" defenseman

Fawkln Sundin. I would have taken Espisito straight up for Mats. I'm sure Pitt would have made that deal as well.

The good news is Fletcher is pissed. A big house cleaning coming for the Leafs. Buyouts for everyone!

No doubt. Although we really really don't need anymore true centers. Which is part of the reason Patrick Roy is playing Esposito at wing instead of center this year. Scoring winger was def a need.

Anyone seen FDL? Is he ok?

Is Esposito really that great of a HR prospect...? He's not exactly lighting it up this year playing for the Remparts, is he...?

The Caps have three young Russians on the team. Boudreau found it very useful to use Semin to talk to Ovechkin, OV's English isn't that good. Fed will make that even better.

Don't be so bitter. Maybe management can talk Gilmour and Clark out of retirement...and then, voila...your Leafs aren't so...bad...anymore.
