Mrs. Babcha doesn't want to move. Babs resigns year to year in Hockeytown to see if a bit more seasoning and a few more call-ups from the farm gets Detroit over the hump. When you think about it seriously:

1. Detroit was fighting for first place in the Hotlantic in January.
2. Howard was an all-star and went down for the count with a groin injury and couldn't find his game and the team backslid into 3rd.
3. If the Wings had found a way past Tampa, I think they would have been a great matchup versus the Habs and could have easily made it into the EC finals.

Not just saying that because I'm a homer. Obviously.

Point is, the rampant speculation will calm down, Babs will sign a show me contract to give his team a kick in the pants.

Fibby, the wings lost all 4 games against the habs this year, Tampa is currently 7-0 against the habs this year. If watching the habs lose is almost as good as watching your team win, it's in the right hands.
