FFFFUU I want Auburn to lose, Oregon to win (go Pac-10) and am torn about BSU. On the one hand I would love to see BSU go to the NC game. But, if they lose Hawaii will be WAC co-champions along with Nevada and BSU. I am still pulling for the Broncos, hopefully Kaepernick steps up and makes the game interesting.

im one of the few that sees the benefits of auburn winning..
if auburn wins.. then smashes SC..
LSU goes to the sugar bowl.
if auburn loses, then win the SECCG, they go to sugar bowl, and we get stuck in the cotton or some other non-BCS game..
the only thing that would make a bama win sweet for me is if its followed by a TCU and Boise Loss.. putting us in the big game.. doubtful

Wow, for a while there I think the entire state of Idaho was doing cartwheels and back flips.
Sucks that I missed most of the game. Left the house when Bama was up 21-0 and came home to 27-21 Bama.

There's still Arkansas on the schedule. They're no slouch.
TCU is not going to lose to New Mexico.
However, I was wrong about Boise blowing out Nevada.
edit:
I'm thinking the Oregon v Oregon State game will be (channeling my inner Lee Corso) "closer than the experts think"

LSU can lose to Arkansas, and I think they do. With 2 losses though LSU will probably get the Sugar Bowl as long as Auburn plays in the MNC.

Very plausible. Although with LSU getting to the Sugar Bowl with two losses, I think that comes down to their position in the BCS standings, and what teams are above them.
I really don't have the brainpower at the moment to run through the scenarios. Too bad we can't take the Big East's BCS berth away this year.

I'm looking at the Top 10 in the polls and I cannot tell where everyone will fall after this weekend. I think Boise State will still be in the Top 10, but barely. Arkansas will move up to ~7-8 (at 12 now).

I'm not putting any money on it, but I don't think LSU drops below Arkansas in the BCS.
But I don't believe the bowls have orders to pick the higher one as long as both are eligible. All I know that is written in stone is that TCU will be in the Rose Bowl if Oregon and Auburn play for the title, then the Sugar Bowl gets next pick.

That's what happens when you promote an OL coach to your OC.. Or when you don't have a QB/RB/OL on offense

Really? The bowls select what teams they want, so wouldn't they choose b/w Arkansas & LSU? FWIW bama won't be BCS eligible since I don't expect them to be Top 14.

but arkansas certainly didnt lock up the spot by beating LSU.
actually, i havent heard any talk of them going leading up to the game or afterwards..
cbs bowl predictions are the only place i've seen them in that spot.

It's not the SEC that chooses, it's the bowl. When it comes to "at-large" teams it's TV ratings and ticket sales. Arkansas has never been to a BCS game and I would think that is all you really need to know. There'll be a waiting list a mile long for Arkansas Sugar/Orange tickets.

Wisconsin is going to face TCU in the Rose.
OSU/Arkansas or OSU/LSU would be a tough ticket. Arkansas wouldn't go to the Orange Bowl because a) the Sugar Bowl gets second pick, and b) they couldn't take a SEC team per the rules.
