Pacquaio is a true baby, what a joke, taking 1 freaking tablespoon of blood will not weaken him, Mayweather has to go through the same thing. Mayweather is all pure, Pacquaio clearly is scared of something, guy is a big baby, says he doesnt like needles, yet has a ton of tattoos, give me a break

I do agree that Manny is being a little baby not wanting to take random bloodtests. Because Mayweather gets drawn the same amount of blood so I don't think you can use the "getting weak" excuse. Don't really know why this is such a big deal that a blockbuster fight needs to be called off. I'm sure promoters are scrambling to get this fight going again.

At first glance I thought this looks bad for Manny, but what the hell is the difference if he agrees to the testing 30 days prior AND right after the fight? Sounds reasonable enough to me.. if he's doping or on any banned substance the test would certainly come up positive - correct me if I'm wrong. I just don't see how testing inside of that 30 day window would make a difference...
That being said, welcome to boxing, politics, primadonas, and bullshit.

fight is back into negotiations, they will be negotiating what type of testing, but the USADA is no longer in it. As long as there are random tests and urine tests and 3-4 blood that don't fall within 2 weeks of the fight night, manny will do it. The Las Vegas commission will most likely do it. This is all posturing before the fight to establish the upper hand, the fight will go on, mark my word. The Biggest fight of all time!!!
And I'll assume the lawsuit will not take place if the fight goes through, but yeah, Manny was suing for defamation of character.

Pacquiao filed a defamation complaint through lawyer Daniel Petrocelli in a federal court in Las Vegas, Nevada on Wednesday (Thursday in Manila). Petrocelli is best known for winning a death civil lawsuit against O.J. Simpson in 1997, noted The Grand Rapids Press.
“Calling a professional athlete a cheater is the most serious charge one can make and in today's world, accusing an athlete of using performance-enhancing drugs - however baseless and lacking in evidence - is toxic,” the lawsuit said as reported by Agence France-Presse (AFP).
The lawsuit named Mayweather, his father, Floyd Sr., and uncle Roger Mayweather as defendants. It asked for damages in excess of US$75,000.
Pacquiao’s promoter, Bob Arum of Top Rank Promotions, told The Press that the super fight is “not salvageable now.”
Meanwhile, Mayweather’s adviser, Leonard Ellerbe, refused to jump to conclusions.
“It ain't over 'til it's over,” Ellerbe told The Press.
“The clock is ticking… It'll get resolved, one way or another. Either he [Pacquiao] is going to step up to the plate or he isn't,” he added.
The Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) stepped into the drug testing hullaballoo, ordering Pacquiao and Mayweather to submit to urine tests within 48 hours or else they would face possible fines or suspension.
Pacquiao submitted himself to a urine test Wednesday in General Santos City. He said he is confident that he will past the test.
The Pacquiao-Mayweather fight is slated to take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. The weight limit is set at 147 lbs. while the purse split is 50-50. Pacquiao’s World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight title would be at stake.

Manny did say he'd agree to a certain degree of testing, but I know doping is very difficult to detect - they usually search their houses if suspicious.

Actual statement by Floyd posted below
FLOYD MAYWEATHER STATEMENT
"Throughout this whole process I have remained patient, but at this point I am thoroughly disgusted that Pacquiao and his representatives are trying to blame me for the fight not happening when clearly the blame is on them.
"First and foremost, not only do I want to fight Manny Pacquiao, I want to whip his punk ass.
"Before the mediation, my team proposed a 14-day, no blood testing window leading up to the fight. But it was rejected. I am still proposing the 14-day window but he is still unwilling to agree to it, even though this is obviously a fair compromise on my part as I wanted the testing to be up until the fight and he wanted a 30-day cut-off. The truth is he just doesn't want to take the tests.
"In my opinion it is Manny Pacquiao and his team who are denying the people a chance to see the biggest fight ever. I know the people will see through their smokescreens and lies. I am ready to fight and sign the contract. Manny needs to stop making his excuses, step up and fight."

Sounds like too me Manny is juicing and doesn't want to take any blood tests. 14 days out from the fight is plenty fair to Manny. The guy clearly has something to hide and now his whole career is under speculation.

Manny doesn't want the random test because he needs to know when they're coming so he can cycle on and cycle off and take a masking agent. Manny dictating when the tests can be performed defeat the whole purpose of a random drug test. That's why Floyd is so pissed. Manny is ok with testing after the fight because he knows the drugs will be out of his system by then. Manny is on some designer drug shit like BALCO that can't be detected by simple urine tests. You must remember Shane Mosley never failed the simple urine drug test either but has been linked to BALCO and was on the now infamous clear and the cream. The basic urine test that boxing uses are antiquated and easily beaten. The whole system needs to be modernized with random blood testing which is harder to beat.

I thinking Boxing is losing a lot of fans after this one. How can they choose Clottey to fight the champ when they already know the style of Clottey. Horrible match up. There was no hype whatsoever.
At least every time Mayweather fights, he makes himself looks like a douche to hype up the fight. I'm starting to think that Mayweather is a business man and not really a douche because more trash talking means more attention means more hype.
Did you guys follow the De La Hoya vs Mayweather fight? EVERYONE I spoke to said that they were hyped to see Oscar knock Mayweather out. Mayweather did his job there.

Whats up with RDX owners?

We were also cracking up over Clotteys entrance. He was dancing alittle too much.
The fight was decent, I guess. Im surprised Clottey actually hit Manny a few times, but the outcome was expected. I was a bit surprised it wasnt by knockout though.
I really want Mayweather to beat Mosley so they will hopefully revisit the idea of the mega-fight. I just wonder how that would play into Mannys political aspirations.

I highly doubt there will ever be a mayweather/pacquiao fight due to the tension between them and the commitment of pacquiao towards his country.

Yeah, if he gets elected to the Filipino Legislature, I would expect his commitments as a politician in the PI would certainly preclude his ability to properly train/prepare for a megafight and geographically prevent him from training in Roach's gym in Cali.

I can only hope Mayweather gets his ass beat. He dodges folks that could/would beat him.....Pac-man and Mosley, until now. He has skills but puts barriers in front of those that are real challenges. D-bag.
