1. Our loss to Miss. St. was a bad one, sorry for conveniently ignoring that. You stated our losses came to inferior teams, and so if you are going by record USF is 5-0 with quality wins. Miss. St. isn't an inferior team, but they aren't a great team either.

Auburn does take bad losses, I wish we would eliminate that, but with a young team and injuries you can't expect much. We are starting to get our injured starters back, and our young players are performing better each game.

2. I just felt like I should throw it out there since you are a Texas A&M alum or just like them for whatever reason.

As an AU fan I agree with you. That is my biggest gripe about Tubs. AU will look like the Pat's against a Top 5 team but against someone they should beat by 25+, we win late or get beat.

Anyone else sick of these coaches standing by the refs calling time out before the last second FG? I don't blame that Auburn kicker one bit for doing the Gator chomp after he made that kick......twice.

Why does 0-fer Dame games keep being picked-up by the networks????? I can not believe they are going to carry their game against UCLA.

I good local high school game would be a better contest.

I either read an article or saw something on TV, but I think they may change the ruling next year so coaches cannot do that.

NBC has a contract with them, so they may as well show the games.

Heh...I haven't missed a notre Dame game yet this season...and I barely ever watch them.

I've enjoyed the hell out of watching them their asses kicked.

It's a recent fad the last few weeks in the NFL and college.

All it is going to take to get rid of it is for one coach to call a timeout a half second before a miss, then have the kicker make the second one. The coach will get lambasted in the media and people online will make photochops of him calling timeout with the phrase "LOL I Call timesout"

Not only are coaches copycats...they also really hate risk. Once one coach takes heat for the timeout trick backfiring, it will no longer be worth the risk.

It's great.. to be.. an AUBURN TIGER. I said, it's great.. to be.. OK I'll stop. I just had to.

Go Noles too.

About the moving around in the rankings, I think USF might squeeze in the top 10. I would definitely be scared if we had to play them.

Horny,
Do you realize that the last FOUR times we've played, the game has gone down to the last play of the game?! WTF!

2001: Auburn makes a last second field goal to beat the Number 3 ranked Gators at Auburn.

2002: Rex Grossman throws a TD pass to Ben Troupe in OT to beat Auburn at the Swamp.

2006: Chris leak throws a pass to a receiver, who then laterals it to another player, who then promptly fumbles. An Auburn player picks it up and runs it back to the house.

2007: Auburn makes a last-second field goal to beat the Number 3 ranked Gators at the Swamp. First win there since 1994. 18-game how win streak gone.

I sure as hell would not want to be LSU this weekend because the Gators are going to come out swinging and pissed. We win at LSU.

So I guess giving a game away to a #16 Missouri team means Illinois can't even get the #25 spot, while Purdue's 5-0 start vs. a WEAK schedule can get them into the Top 25

Fine by me. Let the pundits keep snubbing Illinois. As long as the Illini take care of business, that is what will matter. Right now, Juice needs to calm down and try to regain some consistency in hitting his receivers since McGhee is playing well enough to cause a little controversy.

Go Illini.

Uhh...

It's a moral victory because they didn't win. "Oh yeah...but we could have won if only we scored more points!!!"

Damn, no wonder I keep losing my office pool. Anyways, how about the AP Top 25? Changes all around with some inconsistency on who is in and who is out.

LSU is #1 in AP, but USC keeps #1 in the Coaches. As well as the other teams that have fallen. Interesting.

Finally some love for UK up in here.
Lets hope that they can prove that their #8 ranking is no joke by beating usc this week. I'm already getting excited.

Yeah K State has upset Texas last year and now this year. They also beat up Colt McCoy pretty bad this year too. In Texas' defense, they really haven't been a very good team since VY left. They've struggled against teams that the should have beaten handidly.

I think what he was getting at was... we were driving for the 'go ahead' score... Auburn wasn't in prevent just quite yet.... they were still sending pressure. Had we scored, we would have gone up by 4 (with the PAT)... but, since you guys got the TD, you won by 10.

Doesn't matter now though... that game is history.

Anyways, congrats again on the win... it sucks for me, but... that's why they play the game. Hopefully they can rebound against LSU... hopefully.
