Germany looked pretty good against France in Paris earlier this year. I think it should be a pretty good final.

really wanted to see Brazil in the finals, but I think the better team won today. France really out played them. I would have thought that that goal by France would have woke Brazil up, like what happenned with Japan scored on them, but it didn't happen. Brazil. Brazil still has some hot chicks though.

Dont count your kitchens before they hatch...I'd like to see any other team win it, just not Germany. The only two people I like on the team are Ballack and Klinsmann.

kitchens?

I find it funny how you've been discrediting Germany and their defense since the first game, even though they hadn't been scored on for over 300 straight minutes. They have also elevated their game each time (besides the Argentina game, but that's understandable when you're playing the top contender.)

You really must be frustrated that the Swiss couldn't score on a team (including penalites) with one of the worst defenses

Sorry it was meant to say egg's I dont know how I got kitchens out of it . I am frustrated about the Swiss not being able to score in PK's, what they lacked was some confidence and experience. I must commend the way the Germans took the PK's vs Argentina, everybody walked up to the ball knowing they were gonna put it in the back of the net.

Frings has been suspended for one game against Italy because of the Argentina incident. IMO this is really great for Germany. While Frings was probably the best player against the offensive minded Argentines, Borowski plays a little more offensive, which they will need against the Italian defense. Plus, he scored a goal against Juventus earlier this year

German's 21 year old defender Mertesacker has not fouled an oponent in either the 1/8th final or the quarter final, and he also won 100% of the 50/50 balls against Argentina.

I believe according to the Fifa website, he has won over 80% of the 50/50 balls during the tournament so far.

wasnt near a computer all weekend but daaaamn cant believe brasil lost as well, they just werent doing anything until they realized they were going to lose and by then it was too late. england going out was typical given the way they had been playing, skating by for the most part. the other side of the bracket looks weak in terms of france and portugal, because no one expected those teams to be there... but i think they are both pretty strong teams and im pulling for portugal to make it

last time italy vs germany in match it was 4-1 in favour of italy i am sure klinsmann has made the necessary adjustments and germany as a team have grown a lot since march for sure.... but im still bc buffon in goal has been unstoppable for italy... 1 goal allowed all tourny... 1!! and it was an own goal! f'n ridiculous.

Buffon has been great, but Italy's defense is the best in the world so that is part of the equation. The opposition gets very few shots on net. And as far as I'm concerned we are still looking for the first team to score againt the, all tournament. Maybe it will be Germany
