Ugh, once again, stupid coachin did us in. The $4.99ers were at the 50 yard line with 1:30 left until halftime, what the hell does Erickson call? pass on 1st, run on 2nd and 3rd, punt. Erickson, what the hell do you have to lose? You WERE 1-4...go for the freaking jugular!!! Instead, you sit at 1-5...shameful.

Has anyone been following the Jerry Rice situation in Oakland? It looks as if the game has passed him by and they are getting ready to either release him outright or trade hime and he's not taking it too well. Why is it that the great ones have such a hard time saying goodbye to the game even though they are clearly at the end of their careers?

The Raiders have given Rice permission to seek a trade, but I don't see that happening. They probably will just release him...and he'll probably be picked up through waivers.

I still say Barry Sanders did it the right way....he left them wanting more...and he didn't pull a Michael Jordan. Emmit, Jerry, Tim Brown...ya'll stayed in the game too long!

No doubt about it, and he could have had the rushing record. I respect him more for walking away and not hanging around until he had to be helped out of the game. Rice should just retire now, instead of trying to play another season at age 43. In the word of the gambler, Kenny Rogers, "You gotta know when to hold them, know when to fold them." and Jerry, it's time to fold and walk away from the table my man.

I havn't seen Jerry play this year so I've reserve comment on him retiring. But I will say this, he the best receiver of all time and arguably the best player the NFL has ever seen. At the very least he DESERVES one more shot, he's definenetly earned that opportunity.

You can't even see him on the highlight reels cuz they don't throw the ball his way. Jerry, come back to the 49ers...your #80 is still waiting for ya!!!

its the fault of all the great stars, they don't know life outside of fame and excellence in their sports. see combacks by deion, MJ, etc. Jerry Rice isn't a glory hog, but for people that have been playing and excelling in sports for so long, they don't know anything else.

... And guess who is starting to look really pretty up at AFC west...

That's right, baby, da Broncos, that's who. And the Fader nation and the Thiefs are sitting at bottom... if this is how the rest of the season pans out, I'm a happy man...

oh, and we also happened to find ANOTHER RB that can rack up numbers...

Actually not a bad idea... Rattay actually looks like a QB for the last two weeks (before that, he just looked like a sack waiting to happen)...

Rice should have never worn another uni besides a niner... he's legend... that organization should respect that.

Now, Rice in a Bronco jersey... that's a pretty sight, lined up next to Smith and Lelie...

Junkster, who would digg that

Oh yeah, keep running the Reuben and keep Q-dawg on the bench and bring him in only as a change of pace or 3rd down back. The Raiders looked like 4 lbs of dog turds stuffed in a 2 lb bag yesterday, can they get any worse?

Just picked up Droughns on my Fantasy team!!! Now I'll start him instead of Marshall who has done squat and Jamal Lewis who is gonna be suspended. My fantasy team is in ruins!

Jerry needs to come back to us!! I'll dust off my Rice jersey from the closet and rock that thing again!!

hehe... my FF team is the same situation as you... I took Jamal knowing the risks, but it's only two games, so I think it won't be so bad...

Is it just me or do the Eagles look unbeatable? They dominate both sides of the ball like no one I've seen in a while.

Niners definitely did not use TO in the right way, that's obvious from this year's performance.

Mega gm next Sunday 5-0 Pats vs 5-0 Jets. It's time for another round of NY asskicking.

I have to admit... the Jets look good... Pennington playing well, WRs playing above their abilities...

And what about C.Mart? He's off the chains this year... saw a NFL films special on him, very good guy.

What game were you watching? They only won because Rattay f786ked up late in the 4th.

They put the Niners away though when they had to.

They've gotta do better than the Seahawks did against the Pats. That should have been a win for Seattle, instead they reverted back to form and started dropping the damn ball again. WTF is up with that?

If you looked at what that team is made of... underrated QB, unknown WRs, Nameless defense, and a over-the-hill RB... they shouldn't be undefeated...

yea, they were playing the niners...

He'll get playing time since Koren Robinson is going to get suspended at least 4 games. Either he will start in Robinson's place or be the slot receiver as Engram moves into the starting role. In the pass happy Holmgren offense, there is enough balls to go around!

he can succeed in a west coast offense. the vertical passing game of oakland just didn't suit his abilities

I bet Koren never dropped a freaking doobie though. Maybe if they stuck some of the sticky-icky on the ball he would never drop it. You have to wonder how a pro receiver manages to drop so many damn passes and it's not just Koren but the whole damn team.

Jebus, i can't believe this game and Fox won't switch over to another game. Freaking score is 42 - 10 in the third. The games in my market suck today, except for the Jets vs. New England game.
