I was at the home opener this year. It was great. Vanderjagt is such a punk. I want Seymour or Bruschi to bodyslam him.

I can't believe the national media right now...they are bobbing on Manning's piece!!

Until that piece of shit wins a game that means anything, I'll continue to think he's just another stat monger who's great during the regular season and chokes in the playoffs.

One sided teams DON'T go deep in the playoffs, Indy is going to get fucking owned this weekend.

So you think Manning is crap because he hasn't won a meaningful game but call the Colts a one-sided team. Interesting. So you say one-sided teams can't get deep into the playoffs AND it's Manning's fault the Colts can't win.

Although I think Manning is a hell of a QB, he has to win a big game to considered a GREAT QB.

Although I agree that Vanderjagt was an idiot for going public with those comments I agree with him. The Pats can be beaten and I think the Colts win this one.

Only to get beat by the Steelers a week later though.

I think the winner of the superbowl will be decided this weekend, i.e. we'll see which teams are for real.

No, what I'm saying is you don't see the cotradiction in your statement. You said Manning is crap because he can't win a meaningful game, but then say one-sided teams can't go deep into the playoffs. In other words, you're saying a team needs to be good on both sides of the ball but blame Manning at the same time. So it is Manning or the Colts D that you're slamming? Can't have it both ways.

And, HICK BOY? I hope that wasn't directed at me.

Yeah, they "only" went 14-2. One loss was without half their team. The other one was just ridiculous. Half their wins came without Law playing, and almost all without Poole playing.

I'm surprised everyone thinks the Pats are gonna eat it. You don't win 2 SBs in 3 years without doing something right.

Well, even on the collegiate level Manning never won big games.. In fact, after Manning left was when they were competitive with Tee Martin in as QB..

And I beleive in TMK's post he was referring to Manning and then made a reference to the "Team/Colts" as a one sided team..

Manning is hick boy. Manning is a regular season marvel and a post season bust. Show me how many big games he's won. ZERO.

When you're done showing me Manning's big victories, show me the last team to win a Superbowl without Defense.

Then, when that's done, explain to me why the entire National Media wants to puff Manning's pickle so much? Are they implying that Tom Brady and his plethera of receivers, coupled with Corey Dillon's power running WON'T be in this game?

This game won't just be a win for the Pats, it's going to be a win by 2 + Touchdowns.

Book it.

First of all, I never said the Colts were going to win -- so calm down. Second, you're still not seeing the contradiction in what you're saying. I agree Brady is an awesome QB; no doubt about that. And the Pats are the best team until someone can beat them.

What I'm trying to point out is you're saying Manning is crap because he can't win the big game. Then, you go on to say that in order for a team to win in the post-season it can't be one-sided, meaning the Colts are incapable of winning because they're all offense, which is true. So, on the one hand, you say the Colts can't win because they're a lopsided team but also criticize Manning because he can't win. Basically, I'm saying your logic is contradictory, that's all. You basically put all the blame on Manning's shoulders but also say a team can't win unless it has both offense and defense.

What do you mean by competitive? His records were 40-9 and 3-1 in bowl games.

I have to disagree with the peeps that think the Patriots are gonna roll the Colts. The Patriots secondary is a shell of it's former self, and that being said, the last team you wanna face is the Colts. Peyton's on another level right now, it just might be their year. Regardless of who wins this game, the AFC will destroy their NFC opponent in the Superbowl, unless the stinky Jets get in. Don't start flamin me, I'm a Dolphin fan.

Well, the Colts vs. the Pats is definitely must-see-TV. And what rocks is that neither team features boneheads like Moss and Owens.

Part of the reason the Patriots were able to claim they had enough defense to win a super bowl is because of the way the CB's and secondary were allowed to play. This year, they are calling the 5 yard contact rule a lot closer, and that favors Manning's game. Especially over a NE secondary that is a shell of its former self.

Edit: oh and tmk.... the last team to win a super bowl without defense was the St. Louis Rams. Having no defense does not mean you can't have more points on the board than the other team at the end of 4 quarters.

^^ True but they held home field advantage pretty much through their playoff games..(Indoor)..

New England is making the field nice and soft for Manning...

All I know is it is supposed to be a HIGH of 18 degrees saturday here in Pittsburgh..

Not sure what the weather will be like in New England..

Hope Manning hand doesn't freeze or he has to use a glove..

um They had a good run defense, mostly because they scored so much that other teams didn't attempt to run much against them because they were passing to play catch-up. However, their pass defense was ranked 24th in the league that year.

I think it'll be a great game, just like their first of this year.

If it weren't for their "idiot kicker, who just got liquored up" and missed 30 yard field goal, the Pats would've lost....
