stop reciting espn!

but ya, good to see him having a nice game. What about Maxiell though! That block he had on Garnett plus the dunk after that play. Awesome hustle plays throughout by him.

We Were robbed. I guess Fisher has to slap Barry's Momma to get them to call foul. Then Kobe says no foul. F* Kobe I can't stand his cheating ass. The Ref rears his ugly head again. How bout they not put a Ref in there that hates the Spurs.

1. It was a good no call - Barry should have gone straight up instead of moving to his right. It's the playoffs.

2. Lakers got a bad call on not getting the shot clock reset when Fisher's shot hit the rim seconds before. So it even's out.

With 1 sec on the clock Barry shouldn't have tucked his shoulder and went right, TRYING TO GET THE FOUL. Like he was going anywhere with 1 sec left..

you almost never see calls on the last shot that will decide a game. Especially from Joey Crawford

I thought the spurs were getting all the calls the whole game anyways, although i am probably biased. Great game though.

""If I was the official I wouldn't have called that a foul," Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said."

Cry some more. Lakers didn't get calls either throughout the game and Legler's explanation of why the foul wasn't called, fits. Even Pop, Barry, etc. said it shouldn't have been called.

Continue to blame it on the ref that 'hates' the spurs.

^

if pop and barry are saying the refs called it correctly, what's the point in complaining?

fair or not, it's understood that refs are not going to call a foul at the end of a game unless you literally maul a player.

we had that discussion when lebron was fouled towards the end of a game against the wizards.

the spurs aren't using the refs as a scapegoat, so i dunno why anyone else should.

I really respect the Spurs for not whining about the call. I can name 2 organizations in recent times that still dispute calls that would have lead to "championships".
Anyways here is a classy take from a Spurs Blog. http://www.poundingtherock.com/2008/...l-tolls-for-we

Please don't Spurs fans. Just don't. Yes, it was an obvious foul on Derek Fisher. Yes, it should have been two free throws. But, but, but:
1. Derek Fisher's shot with 5 seconds left, the one that hit the Corpse of Robert Horry's knee and went out of bounds, grazed the rim. The shot clock should have been reset, forcing the Spurs to foul. This would have changed everything.
2. The goal tend call on Lamar Odom with under a minute left was incorrect. It looked correct at game speed, but the replace clearly showed he got the ball before it hit the rim. This would have changed everything.
3. Kobe Bryant shot the ball 29 times. He took 0 free throws.
they go on to say that they lost based on lapses in their own performance as opposed to they refs.

As a Laker fan, it was a good win for the Lakers. We rarely win at their arena, and to lead from buzzer to buzzer shows the team really stepped it up.

Looks like we'll get the matchup we all want, Lakers v. Celtics.

If you gonna say thats a foul on Fisher I agree... 2 shot.. Not 3. But how about the travel on Barry before the foul or how about the fact that Fishers shot grazed the rim but the shot clock didn't restart..

If the shot clock restarted Spurs would have to foul to get possession back or steal the ball (highly unlikely).

Anyway it shouldn't even go down to that one possession. Lakers outplayed the Spurs and thats that. Tmrrw we will take care of business.

You've gotta love the fact that nobody has mentioned last night's down-to-the-wire, pivotal Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals. I'm guessing it's because everyone assumed (correctly) that the home team would win.

Celts had the unprecedented (and forever unmatched) 1960s title collection, but the Lakers have been the premier franchise throughout the history of the league.

But the bottom line is, titles are what matter.

Nothing but respect to the franchise we are trying to beat. Its the only rivalry that matters to me.

Celtics got homecourt advantage.. But Celtics and Lakers have never played each other with Gasol in the mix. Also each time they played (twice) kobe odom and fisher had horrible shooting nights and we didn't lose by that much considering that.

Boston will not beat the Lakers. I will guarantee that. Also if boston fans want to brag about the rings they won in the 60's.. thats just plain retarded there were only 9 teams in the NBA.
